In October 1969, Bill Clinton wrote an extraordinarily revealing letter to the colonel who helped him use an Arkansas ROTC program he never ended up joining to evade the draft for the Vietnam War. The key passage:
The decision not to be a resister and the related subsequent decisions were the most difficult of my life. I decided to accept the draft in spite of my beliefs for one reason: to maintain my political viability within the system. For years I have worked to prepare myself for a political life ...
I think right now Bill Clinton thinks he's figured out how to do the absolute minimum, vis a vis Barack Obama's presidential campaign, to maintain his political viability as the senior figure in the Democratic Party.
Clinton calculated that the following would be enough: giving a rousing, nationally televised speech on Obama's behalf at the national convention, followed by a series of campaign appearances in which he offered support with a minimal level of enthusiasm.
His appearances this past week on David Letterman's show and "The View" reflected this. Clinton went through the motions of backing Obama, but offered kind words for John McCain and Sarah Palin and constantly made remarks that could only be interpreted as laments that his wife wasn't the Dem nominee.

What??? There is no Female Body Inspector unit in the military? Clinton in the military would have been a joke. He would have washed out in about 2 weeks.. But at least he would have been exposed to a better class of women.
Clinton majored in Draft Avoidance Studies in the UK.
I wish these two old communists would take their filthy millions and disappear.
Many primaries were held before the alternative media got out the downside of Barack Obama. The little the LSM did to get out these stories was done kicking and screaming. The Democrat electorate wised up in later primaries and went for Hillary. If the truth were known sooner, Hillary would be the nominee. Chris Rock is wrong. Much as all of us disagree with HRC, she was the legitimate nominee, and after this fiasco, the logical choice for VP. A few weeks ago, BHO said the economy would affect the election. Was all this economic turmoil timed to help BHO? As much as we may disagree with McCain, we have to vote for him.
Their filthy millions (or more than likely, other peoples’ millions) is the very thing that guarantees they’ll never go away in the first place.
For the hundreth time; this creep should be in jail.
Aah, the poor boy has gone and done left the (Alinsky) reservation. Good for him.
Alinky's rules (for radicals)
(This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
I guess all that criticism & ridicule that he himself, and his wife have been subjected to truly does hurt. That, and he doesn't get the enjoyment of being at the seat of power and adulation.
