Chris Rock (Loudly) Questions Bill Clinton’s Tepid Support of Obama
NY Slimes ^ | 9/23/2008 | Charles M. Blow

Bill Clinton was a guest of the David Letterman show last night where he gave a tepid endorsement of Barack Obama. The next guest was Chris Rock who is genetically incapable of being tepid. He gave a near-belligerent excoriation of Clinton’s performance:

“Is it me, or he [Clinton] didn’t want to say the name Barack Obama? He did not … He went through everything he could do … “Well like Hillary would want to do with the economy…” Hillary ain’t running. Hillary’s not running. What the hell?”

If everybody hates Chris, he apparently doesn’t care. He makes an interesting point. Why is the Clintons’ support of Obama so tepid and muted? Some openly speculate that they want Obama to lose so that Hillary will have a better shot in 2012. I have no idea if that is true, but the more they withhold their enthusiasm for Obama, the more they give their supporters license to do the same.

Uh-oh.

Bill Clinton has angered the Old Gray Lady.

You know what they say about a woman scorned...

Hey Chris Rock - Why don’t you ram it, cram it, jamb it and slam it up your liberal ass!

Mr Rock should be careful of what he says, lest he be invited to a 3am party at Ft. Marcy Park.

I fear someday Bill Clinton will be a Republican. Don’t be surprised to have him speak at a GOP convention someday.

Chris Rock is right. Clinton doesn’t really want Obama to win, and everyone knows it. Why play the hypocrite?

Chris Rock is solid evidence that Vaudeville never really ended.

Perish the thought! The Clintons would never put the political future of one of themselves before the short-term success of the party candidate would they? Would they??? These bozos in the MSM sure are slow on the uptake.

Chris Rock was correct about the tepid Clinton support (hee hee, not that I mind!).

Sorry I turned the TV off after Clinton spoke so I missed Rock’s comments. Sometimes, though, I just have to get some sleep.

I don't agree with Rock's politics, but I have to give him credit for not being afraid to speak his mind.

I've listened to some of his stand-up performances... not open-mike night at the comedy club, but sold-out concert halls. If you can get past his colorful language, he says things that no one else dares say.

Bill Cosby is (in)famous for confronting black racism and self-destructive behavior, but he comes off as condescending. Chris Rock does it much better, wrapping it in a comedy routine that makes it much more palatable.

“What the hell?”... Obama did call Bill Clinton a racist.

He’s lucky Clinton isn’t campaigning for McCain.

Chris Rock, the same Chris Rock I heard talking with Anthony Pellicano about doing some very bad things to a girl who accused him of sexual assault, he didn’t protest too much to the very thinly veiled “suggestions”.

“I fear someday Bill Clinton will be a Republican.”

Maelstorm, you’re the first person I’ve heard say that...and I believe it could happen...Bill’s pissed over not getting to go live in the White House with Hillary....he’s capable of anything now.

Umm why is anyone surprised that they are not supporting Obama, the debt they incurred that the overly pimped out Obama could help with and won't. The way Hillary was “back doored” by dems. I mean seriously why would they willing and openly support someone they know is not the best for the country. If they thought he was the best Hillary wouldn't have been running against Obama in the first place. This is the Dems version of Gore Bush in Florida only it was Hillary and Obama in the Primaries for the whole nation, she should have got it and didn't, she especially should have with their crazy super delegate crap that somehow overwrites actual votes.
