DEMACÚ, Mexico Luis Martínez went from being a successful Dallas businessman to a struggling alfalfa farmer in rural central Mexico because of a North Texas crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Now, that crackdown is squeezing towns across Mexico as immigrant unemployment grows in the U.S. and money sent home declines at a record rate.

Well, boo-hoo.
Boohoohoo...if he was such a succesful businessman then why wasn't he here leagally? Sorry IMHO this is just another illegal alien sob story!
Aztlan denied.
Well, that’s a cryin’ shame....

Don’t fret Mexico. Help is on the way.
Annexation?
“It means that the money not being sent back is not being generated here,” said David J. Molina, an economics professor at the University of North Texas. “To a large extent, I would argue that that slowdown is not good for either side of the border.”
Well, Professor Molina, let’s not pretend that the economic impact of the illegal alien’s earning that stay in the US are the only impact. Many, many costs associated with illegal aliens, not to mention how they depress the wages of US citizens. I’d say the slowdown is a net gain on the US side.
God’s children are hurting. This is a crisis. The only humane and compassionate thing to do is to rush legislation through Congress so we can help these poor ... oh ... been there, done that. Never mind.
Them or us? LMAO
“Annexation?”
I’m guessing that Doughty One means that no matter who the next El Presidente de Estados Unidos is, that the push for amnesty for all will be renewed, either by Juan or Baracko.
Once they see that we're serious about border security and cracking down on greedy employers who hire illegals, the majority will head back across the border faster than Speedy Gonzalez on crack.
Oh I know. It just seems to be coming someday. I wonder if the last one to leave will turn off the lights?
President Obama is doing a fine job on this whole “Undocumented worker, Border security” issue.
I agree.
They are feeling the backlash of Americans who didn’t appreciate having our flag hung upsidedown below the Mexican flag, our National Anthem sung in Spanish, public demonstrations for amnesty, flipping us the byrd, destroying property and then leaving in the middle of the night for the landlord to clean up, drunk driving and resulting fatalities, increased crime, filling our jails, increasing our taxes while they sucked up benefits that weren’t meant for them, closing our hospitals down, anchor babies, refusing to speak English, 50 people coming in and out of houses all hours of the day and night, illegally voting, drug trafficking, etc. etc. They should have just laid low.
I live in Dallas...one of the ground zeroes for illegal invasio...I mean “immigration” in this country.
Our city’s schools have been virtually destroyed by these alien invaders. Entire blue collar neighborhoods have been wrecked by Pizza Patron and signs that say “Cambiamos Cheques.” I hate it. They need to GO.
We’re from Louisiana but moved to Fort Worth after Katrina. It appears Fort Worth is having the same problems that you describe with the Dallas schools. I personally have nothing against immigration, but I’m against illegal entry. If someone wants to come here, they need to do it according to our laws and accept the USA as their new country. If they aren’t willing to do that, they don’t need to be here.
