Mr. McCain needs to find a way to turn the Wall Street mess to his advantage somehow.

They don't say whether this is registered or likely. Seems in line with the other "registered" voter polls that have McCain tied in MN and up 1 or down 1 in MI.

CO scaring me.

“Mr. McCain needs to find a way to turn the Wall Street mess to his advantage somehow.”

That should absolutely be his issue, he co-sponsored a bill for oversight over FM&FM, while NObama and other Dems got big money from FM&FM and fought the oversight. Also someone needs to clearly explain to the sheeple that what we can’t afford right now are MORE GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS.

McCain/Palin ‘08!

No, but they did say it was Quinnipiac.

Obama leads them all in Quinnipiac Washington Compost poll. Why am I not surprised?

CO scaring me.

It is ALL scaring me and call me weak-kneed and faithless but I am worried. The Dems will stop at NOTHING and Repubs have a history of NOT fighting back in a way that causes people to listen. Then add the MSM to the mess and unless we have some big miracle I am just not confident. Now folks please convince me that I am ALL WET!! I need it . . .

He should be a Maverick and tell Wall St to go pound sand.

Then tell us all to buy US produced rice. And hunker down.

McCain needs to buck it up, swallow a bit of well-earned pride, and get Palin out there more!! Immediately.

She’s his secret weapon. She was what drove his convention bounce, and when she was pulled back, McCain started drifting in the polls again.

We all know McCain’s strong, a leader and braver than just about anyone. This election though, is about other characteristics than just national defense. It would be nice if McCain could win on the strength of his charm and charisma.

Thing is, Palin’s the one, with those.

Keep on attacking conservatives, McDumbass, rather than calling out liberals for things like the Wall Street collapse. Haven’t you learned anything?

Colorado is to California what Virginia is to New England. Leftists, particularly younger ones, having ruined California and New England with their lunacy, are moving to Greater Denver and Northern Virginia to start anew.

CO scaring me.

Me too!

CO. is the key to winning. It would be a miracle for McCain to win MI., WI., PA., MN. He has to hold OH., FL., VA., and win NV., and CO. The economic problems on wall street are hurting big time and the Rats holding up resolving it helps them. Right now everything is working for BHO.

Remember something well.

Back in 2000, Gore was up on Bush by about this much, and Kerry the same.

Obama should be up on McCain by eight to ten points in this environment. He’s not. He hasn’t broken fifty even once. This is a man who hasn’t, and I don’t think can, close the deal.

And so, we have to have faith that McCain can close on Obama and seal the deal in October, as Bush did last time round.

Best,

Chris

McCain is flirting with George Bush’s milquetoast approach to bipartisanship.

Big mistake.

People don’t want milquetoast.

People want WWF. Time to rumble, Maverick.

McCain still has a tough uphill battle. My prediction that McCain would win was predicated upon the economy recovering sooner than anticipated and a foreign policy issue coming to the forefront.

The financial sector collapse does not bode well for McCain.

Palin is the secret weapon... beacuse she’s a CONSERVATIVE who energized the CONSERVATIVE base. McCain has resurfaced with his tired liberal platitudes, and has once again depressed the base.

Ditto for the “independents”. Ask where most of them stand on the issues (and I mean registerede independents, not the liberals that call into Rush who identify themselves as independent), and they fall on the conservative side. McCain is driving them away, as well.

No but they did say who the Lamestream media perps where who "sponsored" the poll......

Washington Post?..Yeah right.....delusion is their specialty.

The doctor says, "take a deep breathe and relax"...they're the ones panicing right now. Let them continue to manufacture their own reality......it doesn't make it real.

Well, most polls of “likely” voters have this dead even, even in VA and OH. The only state that McCain has to have and is consistently trailing among likely voters is CO. It voted for Bush twice. Don’t recall if CO went for Clinton.

You can’t dismiss every poll. McCain has lost some ground across the board. I do trust likely voter polls. That’s why it’s useful to know the pool of respondents.

You are not ALL WET. McCain has gone off on a tangent and blamed everything on a corrupt Wall Street. The Democrats are eye deep in the Fannie and Freddie corruption and the social engineering policies that created the mortgage bubble, but McCain doesn't use that information.

He tried to get major reform legislation through in 2005 - 2006; the Democrats blocked the legislation, but few know it.

Palin is getting a lower profile lately and that has hurt, as well. Obama also was a major recipient of Fannie and Freddie campaign contributions.

McCain's campaign needs to do a much better job of getting both the history of how the financial disaster occurred and how he is different out to the undecided voter.
