Sitting Room Only for Obama in Green Bay September 22, 2008 2:53 PM
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin packed the house last week in Green Bay, Wis., at the Resch Center.
Not so today in the same arena with Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., as ABC News' Sunlen Miller captured in these photos.

Your guess is as good mine - Obama doesn't look good to win Wisconsin... if intensity of turnout is any indication of where the two campaigns are right now in the contest.

I am honestly surprised that there were that many in attendance? (Wonder how many were actually from Green Bay and how many were bussed in)

I just don’t believe the polls.
The polls predicted that Harry Truman would lose the election, yet, wherever he went there were **enormous** crowds. The size of the crowds were the true indicator in Harry Truman’s case.

Wow...first merely 15 people show up in VA around Liberty to kick off Obama’s “Lack of Faith and Family and whatever else you bitter folks like” tour and now the day shift at Schlitz couldn’t fill up the auditorium in Green Bay WI..
The thrill...is gone...

Is Green Bay representative of the state, politically speaking?
I mean, I’m not one to put that much reliance on anecdotal evidence like crowd sizes etc., but when you start to look at things like 60,000 people at a Palin rally and a few grand at an Obama rally and virtually no one shows up at a Biden rally, it starts to make you wonder if these polls showing Obama in the lead, are bulls**t.

I remember when GW and Cheney both came to NW Arkansas just before 2000 election ... they had a rally at the largest hangar they had..(14,000 or so)
I couldn’t get within 6 miles of the place ... not for security... traffic trying to get there too.

Ironically, the most poignant quote from Barry’s speech in Green Bay came during the opening seconds. Here are his exact words:
“Hello Green Bay, it’s great to see all you yogurt heads...how ‘bout them Green Bay Slackers!. Ever since I saw that actor in “Something About Mary,” I’ve wanted to come to his hometown.
Funny, I’ve never saw him in another movie since then, what ever happened to that guy?
Anyway, I’ve met some great people here, and hopefully, your town will get to experience the honor of winning a world championship someday.
Of course, the Slackers will have to be promoted from the Arena Football League to experience the ultimate thrill, but, with the community spirit I’ve seen, it could happen. In fact, it will the number one priority in an Obama, Biden administration.”
Editor’s note: ahs, ums, you knows, ehs, duhs and ers were edited out to spare the reader from 23-minutes of useless drivel.
