One would think so.....but remember, when the Feds showed up at the apartment, it was late Saturday/early Sunday...in the middle of a party..

It could be that he had been celebrating so much after his “successful” hack that he failed to dump any evidence. If he WAS successful, that’s just added charges.....

1.) Do people generally know that David Kernell is the son of Tennessee Democratic state senator Mike Kernell ?

2.) Do people generally know that Mike Kernell the Democrat state senator from Tennessee who is the head of Tennessee Democrats for Obama is directly linked to Hussein Obama ?

If it is him, I would be surprised if he even gets probation . He might get an Honorable Citation ....

The current DOJ has much more to worry about , like going after “ corrupt Republicans “ ..... The Gonzales legacy lives on ..... barf ...

Since the party goers took off when the law showed up, I’ve been wondering if anyone left his stash behind. The threat of drug charges might encourage cooperation.

From the Chattanoogan Sep. 23, 2008

http://chattanoogan.com/articles/article_135683.asp

A Grand Jury in Chattanooga on Tuesday morning heard testimony into the alleged hacking of the personal e-mail of Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

At 9:00 AM two males and a female, who are apparently friends of a University of Tennessee student who is under investigation for the hacking (David Kernell ) entered the Courthouse & testified. (These were the ones in his apartment when the search warrant was served)

Security officers notified members of the media at 10:30 a.m. that the trio had exited the courthouse by another door.

The Grand Jury was expected to make its return later today or Wednesday.

I think:

Things are moving pretty fast.

A federal Grand Jury in Chattanooga has declined to indict UT student David Kernell of a felony today.
He was accused of intruding into vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s private e-mail.
The grand jury ended its session without sending an indictment against Kernell.

According to a newspaper report. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

Readers Note- If the law as applied to this case only calls for a misdomener charge, a No Bill would be correct. This could mean that he has been offered a deal to reduce the charge if he cooperates.
