I talked to her immigration attorney too.

If she has an “immigration attorney” then she is an illegal alien...

REAL immigrants dont need “immigration attorneys”...

“Immigration attorneys” are hired to keep illegal aliens in the country after they have got caught...

Indeed, we cannot forget that. America is made up of a great melting pot of those who came here to be Americans. To wait their turn in line. To embrace this greatest nation on God’s green Earth. I welcome decent people from all over the world who respect our laws and want to be an American above all else. It is a tragedy that the fabric of our society is being ripped apart because some think they are compassionate. No, they are destroying America.

Nearly one in 10 Hispanics in the U.S. reported that in the last year police or other authorities have stopped them and asked them about their immigration status, the Pew Hispanic Center said in a report released Thursday.

I don’t know.

However, I feel for you. The illegals have so tarnished the reputation of being Hispanic, that now all Hispanics have been cast in a poor light and often come under suspicion. It’s a heavy burden to bear and not fair to those like you.

And, BTW, thank you for your service to our country.

Maybe they can. Many people want to destroy this nation and be subservient to the United Nations so everything would be peace and harmony.

That is very low. There are 20 million illegals here. Most are Mexican, but we also have hundreds of thousands from Central America and, in places like Chicago, even farther afield, Ecuador. Given these numbers, a much higher percentage of Hispanics should be asked about their status. If they belong here, no harm, no foul. As good citizens they will doubtless understand that the questioning is understandable and that the struggle against massive illegal immigration serves the interests of all loyal Americans.

This is outrageous...Johnny Sutton needs to prosecute and jail all the police.

I would hope I wouldn’t be asked about my immigration status. I don’t look it, but I have a Puerto Rican last name. Though my first name has been on the most popular boy’s name list for a long time.

I am an immigrant and a naturalized American citizen...

I would rather be asked than the illegal aliens just run rough shod in my county...

Periodic ID checkpoints wouldn’t bother me...

They do it every holiday weekend lookinng for drunk drivers ...

Why not look vfor illegal aliens also ????

A few sweeps and the illegal aliens will start to leave on their own...

But you’re British, they’re not looking for illegal Britons, if any illegals at all.

We need to change our LEGAL immigration policies as well, including reducing the numbers from the current 1.2 million annually to about 300,000 [per the Jordan Commission], going to a merit based system to bring in immigrants who will benefit this nation, curtail chain migration to the nuclear family, eliminate birthright citizenship, abolish the visa lottery program, and expand the 287[g] program to leverage law enforcement assets and deport illegal aliens thru an attrition thru enforcement program.
