Bud Richard, and voters like him, may ultimately determine this year's presidential race. But if he's any indication of Indiana's political preferences, pollsters will have a hard time calling the Hoosier State Nov. 4...

very doubtful that Indiana will go for Obama... very doubtful
He will win big time in Lake and Marion County due to the black population. I just hope it is not enough to put him over the top.
Usually, I’d say no chance, but it depends on how many ACORNS have been planted there.
If obama wins in Indiana, the dead have voted.
Gary crack pipe dream.
The thing that gives me hope is that Indiana has a stringent voter ID law in place. It’s not perfect, but I think it will quash a lot of the opportunities for fraud.
I’ll be surprised if Obama loses Indy by less than 10%. Who’s doing all these nutty polls?
We need to make sure Lake county and Gary and Indianappolis is swamped with GOP watchers and challengers, the rest of the state is McCain country but in those places they need to watched like hawks and challenged like our lives depended on it.
Yes and barack mcgovern has a shot at Utah as well.
We need to be careful here, Hillary had a 10 point lead in Indiana going into Primary day, dodgy stuff happened in Gary, holding back the vote and other stuff and suddenly Obama was only behind by 1% in the final vote.
So yes, he will try and fiddle it, dont be complacent.
The one observation that I can make is that I am seeing few signs for the presidential race here in SE Indiana.
What I sense is a lack of enthusiasm across the board.
In 2000 & 2004 there were lots of yard signs for Gore and Bush and Kerry and Bush.
All I’m seeing around here are for local elections.
I have no idea what this means, but it is odd.
And quite a few of the pets!!
I think the dearth of signs has to do with the fact that supporters of McCain will be seen as "racists" for not supporting the black candidate. Maybe they are afraid of getting their houses egged or worse by putting these signs out.
I wonder if people are concerned about vandalism if they put the signs up??
I just have not had access to them and one will go up ASAP.
It appears it may be closer than in the last two elections, but I agree with most when they say there is no way Indiana goes Obama.
I would add Monroe county to your list. Bloomington is a liberal hotbed.
