We call him "Boots"...:)
That’s it! We need new photos! :)
Awwwwww, you just blew the cute meter right out the top! ... With those paws, you may have to teach him how to hold a pencil.
LOL...he already knows how to hold pencils in his mouth and run away with them.
He has a hidden lair he brings things to...just like a pack rat. Pencils, pens, straws, q-tips, pieces of paper, crumpled up balls of tinfoil (which he fetches and will bring right back to you and drop at your feet. He fetches with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever chasing tennis balls into a lake)
He took my glasses off of my bedside table one morning...as a last resort after looking everywhere else...that was where I found them.
He eats pickles, marshmallow fluff, pizza, mango sorbet...
He is by far and beyond the weirdest cat I have ever owned. He is extraordinarily willful. We try to use a squirt gun to discipline him (which has worked on all of my other cats) but he just hunkers down, closes his eyes and refuses to stop what he is doing while you squirt him. Very odd. Other cats will cease and desist immediately, but he won’t. I can’t hit him. I will not strike an animal (unless it is threatening me)
We thought we might have to get rid of him, because he has been attacking our other cat non-stop and keeping my wife up all night, but...I just don’t think I could take him to a shelter. Sigh. Never had a cat like this one before, and I’ve owned them my whole life.
Has he been neutered yet?... My ‘Orange terror’ had a personality change after his neutering. He became playful but very insistent on lap time. His faovrite toy is a balled up piece of printer paper with rubberbands tightly wrapped around it. He chases and chews until he gets a band to pop, then gets really mad at the ball! Goes though one a month that way. He is seven and my other black and white is fifteen, but they woke me up last night chasing and playing on the steps. Happy cats play. They also bring home the occasional rabbit, as offerings I suppose.
We got him neutered just as fast as we could, but he had neutering “issues”...his er...cubes were not where they were supposed to be, and they had to do more extensive surgery.
Hehe, that is pretty funny...I can imagine when the rubber bands pop...probably pisses him off when one gets him on the nose!
Yes, I am but I'm almost done and that orange kitty is just precious!
Finbar is also very playful and when I get homeI'm going to have to get him a kitty to corrupt play with. He tends to really like to play with other boy kitties. (Any cat living in my home gets fixed at about six months.)
I had one of those faithful, kind and sweet cats who never hurt anyone and was very well behaved. She, too was playful but gentle about it. She was black, half Burmese, very talkative and lived to be 19 years old. I still miss her, too. We kind of grew up together. It was a few months after her passing that Finbar came along.
Sigh. We do love our pets. They do become family. It’s all good...:)
Well, thanks for your input on what is going on over there. Whenever I read the hysterical rantings of Reuters, AP, ABC, NBC, CBS or CNN, I always look to see what Allegra thinks about it...:)
