One thing did become very obvious- since Hagel figured out he would be hung out to dry if he ran again, he has been remarkably quiet on all fronts, compared to what he used to be. Without a doubt he envisioned himself running for the presidency, it was tough to get through a day without some photo-op, or public running off at the mouth.

I have noticed the last week or so he is getting a few words in but nobody really pays attention to him.

Not electing Hagel is a done deal. He figured out much to his dismay he is not electible in the state of Nebraska. Sometimes out in the middle of the cornfields we get something right.

His only play was to be a Republican foil for the Democrats. Perhaps they’ve grown as tired of it as we are. Then there’s the fact that Hagel quite often agrees with McCain too. He would play off better against Palin than McCain.

Alcie Hastings the impeached former federal judge is my congress critter.
A gerrymandered district that was created for the sole reason to make it a minority district. Looks like a snake meandering along the south east coast of Florida.
Guy should be in prison. So let’s just make him a congressman instead.

I’ve not known him to come to Indiana, but I did go on the RNC headguys webpage in Nebraska and email him. I asked him why the RNC would continue to support Hagel as a candidate, when we don’t support what he does? Asked him to put up a REAL Republican in the primary, to give the Conservatives in his state a better choice. To support that person with RNC funds/dollars, not Hagel.

Dad is from Jeffersonville in southern Indiana.
Spent quite a bit of time there.
Beautiful.

Of all the stoopid things he said, and granted, there are many, I think the dopiest of all is his complaint that Gov. Palin *just got a passport*, that somehow she’s unqualified re: foreign policy because she hasn’t traveled all over the world. HUH? Er, Chuck? Can you please explain for me just how taking a family vacation to France or Italy or China would be any qualifier? She would not have been going as an emissary of the United States, she’s not an ambassador, she’s a GOVERNOR.

Our oldest son now lives in Jeffersonville. He has a job in Louisville, graduated from the University of Evansville this past May. We live over near Evansville, absolutely love it down here. The best place in the state!
