One thought pushes fence-sitters to the left: Palin (liberal bias alert)
St. Petersburg Times ^ | Sep 19, 2008 11:11 AM | Adam C. Smith, Times Political Editor

Five weeks ago, the St. Petersburg Times convened a group of Tampa Bay voters who were undecided about the presidential election. Their strong distrust of Barack Obama suggested it was a group ripe for John McCain to win over.

Not anymore. The group has swung dramatically, if unenthusiastically, toward Democrat Obama. Most of them this week cited the same reason: Sarah Palin.

Welcome to Bizarro World...this is the corniest piece I've ever read as far as statements from these folks who really don't want to vote for Obama, but, but, but...because of Palin they have to.

Funny, my onw experience with other people is that, if anything, Sarah Palin has pushed far more people the other way...including former Hillary supporters.

The liberal press knows this and they are out desperately looking for any smidgin of data to make it look the other way.

But the more the MSM and DNC try to do this, the more people all over the country will be drawn to her.

That's because of something the left and the elite cannot comprehend and are blind to.

Sarah connects with everyday people. She is a mother who wanted to make a difference in her community and joined the PTA and it went from there. She didn't need an ivy league degree in Political Science, she didn't need a law degree, she didn’t need rich connections, she just needed honesty, integrity, her faith, and a desire to serve.

She didn't seek wealth, power, or high position...it just happened and that connects with most Americans of all stripes (outside of the leftists and elitists whom she threatens) who in their hearts want to try and help their communities and improve things for their kids.

As a result, Sarah Palin is shaking the Democratic leftist-liberal house to its foundation, and bringing it down. She and her family, their faith, their values, and their story represent the absolute refutation of all the tired old liberal mantras and victimology that they malignantly use to mentally, pshycologically, and financially enslave whole classes of people.

From women's rights, to family values, to gun rights, to abortion, to energy policy, to taxation, to envrionmentalism, and on and on...she is a wrecking ball to the leftist, liberal, socialist house.

SARAH PALIN TRUMPS OBAMA-BIDEN

This doesn’t even pass the laugh test. If this focus group were typical McCain Obama polls would be 30% McCain to 60% Obama.

Even if this were technically true, rather than a transparent ploy to rattle the GOP and deprive them of one of their most effective assets, it would still be wrong, because we’ve heard scores of cases where just the opposite effect occurrred, making Palin a net gain.

Believe anything published in this newspaper at your own risk. It has had to downsize substantially over the last couple of years — and for good reason. As an arm of the DNC it cuts itself off from half (or more) of its potential market.

To a person, this is a group of bright, well-informed voters paying close attention to the election and frustrated they're not hearing more specifics and substance from the candidates.

I doubt if a single one of these "bright, well-informed voters" has a clue who William Ayers is and what his relationship is the the One.

Take the time to read this one.

I would imagine that the argument that Palin would be required to "put the world on hold" while she took care of her kid is a "sure-fire" winner amongst the feminists'.

Really great watching these commie bazturds implode!

Just heard CNN has on the boob tube about 20-30 black protesters being escorted from an Obama rally on TV live, sounded like it was TB or St Pete, definitely FL.

I don’t watch CNN, caught this off the radio.

This is a great example of bias in the Press. Of course, Florida has some strange-behaving residents, but, overall, FL cannot be that out of range of reality. The more I learn about Obama and the company he keeps, the more danger I sense for our country. The MSM is clearly showing itself for the deranged, out-of-touch, twisted and warped it has been for many years.

Perhaps we should look into the size of the "group" -- 3 people? ...from what institution I wonder?

Obama & Biden vs. McCain & Palin are so different what values beliefs or stance can someone have as to not be sure who to vote for. If they want free stuff vote for Obama if they want freedom Vote for McCain. I could understand foolishly thinking third party as protest, but if they can't decide between the two their head is emptier than Obama’s.

The one thing that frightens me more than anything else are the ideologues. We've seen too many," said 80-year-old Air Force veteran Donn Spegal, a lifelong Republican from St. Petersburg,

Lifelong Republican? Then why was his only documented campaign contribution 11 years ago to a Democrat?

Nice one! Another MSM lie busted! It's really a shame most of the readers will never find out about the lie.
