FRANCE 24 reporters accompanied a group of Taliban fighters on an attack against Afghan troops. The group’s leader has a warning for French troops after last month’s deadly ambush: leave now or face more.

Wardak province in Afghanistan houses a road that connects the capital Kabul to the city of Kandahar. The road links the main US bases in the country, and is therefore a strategic target for Islamic militants.

In the heart of the province, our reporters met Taliban commander Abu Tayeb, who was preparing his contingent of warriors for combat.

The militants here are called “fedayeen,” meaning they are ready for suicidal combat, if necessary.

“All these fedayeen are heading out to fight the Holy War. Americans run away when they see them. If you ask them, they’ll put on a belt and blow themselves up,” Commander Tayeb told FRANCE 24.

“I want to say something to the French soldiers. If they listen to the government and keep being American puppets, we will increase our attacks on them. They must change their politics,” said Tayeb. “This year and next year, we will do our best to enter Kabul and target the Americans and their allies.”

FRANCE 24’s reporters filmed the Taliban group as they conducted weapons drills in preparation for an attack on an Afghan police checkpoint. Then, after a solemn prayer, the fighters headed out for the operation. A tense and heavy silence weighed on the group as they neared the checkpoint.

It's puzzling why the French government that controls France24 would produce this piece of terrorist propaganda, but one thing is clear: Abu Tayeb needs to be killed pronto.

I would suspect that a reasonably skilled intel analyst could pinpoint the Taliban locations in that video.

I bet their fearless leader is right up on the front lines, too — ready to be a martyr ASAP. Not.

If those reporters are with the Taleban, then they are hostiles within the ROE. We should email their HQ over in France and let them know that. No ‘outrage’ if they die while embedded.

They didn’t report on anything because they didn’t see anything. They got a little PR demonstration and then they hid while the propagandists ran around shooting in the air. Later they went to see a destroyed building (probably from an American bomb days before) and were told that police died. None of the Taliban died or were injured.

This is the same stuff Sadaam did. The French media is playing along as a way to undermine Sarkozy.

As bad as the American media is, I cant imagine any of them going with the enemy to attack and kill American soldiers. Unbelievable.
