MIAMI - A federal grand jury has charged eight individuals and corporations with participation in conspiracies to export U.S.-manufactured commodities to to Iran.

The Indictment alleges the defendants caused the export of 120 field-programmable gate arrays, more than 5000 integrated circuits of varying types, approximately 345 Global Positioning Systems (“GPS”), 12,000 Microchip brand micro-controllers, and a Field Communicator. All have military applications as components in IEDs.

The charges are the result of an extensive inter-agency investigation into the use of U.S.-made goods in the construction of IEDs used in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Charged are: Ali Akbar Yahya, Iranian and British citizen; F.N. Yaghmaei, Iranian; Mayrow General Trading, Atlinx Electronics, Micatic General Trading, Madjico Micro Electronics, and Al-Faris, Dubai businesses; Neda Industrial Group, an Iran business; Bahman Ghandi, Iranian; Farshid Gillardian, Iranian and British citizen; Kaam Chee Mun, Malaysia; Djamshid Nezhad, Germany; Ahmad Rahzad, Iranian national; Majid Seif, Iranian national; and Eco Biochem Sdn BHD and Vast Solution Sdn BHD, Malaysian businesses.

“Today's indictment details the global reach of Iranian procurement networks and underscores, in dramatic terms, the importance of keeping sensitive U.S. technology out of their grasp,” said Patrick Rowan, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Other than the 12,000 microchips used for IED's there is hidden in this indictment is another very sinister effort by the Iranians.

We are very good at listening in on terrorists and have cracked their communication encryptian devices.

The Iranians would like to do the same to us so that they could listen in on our encrypted military communications.

The 120 field-programmable gate arrays are exactly the number needed to build a COPACOBANA machine that can be used in a "brute force attack", a method of defeating a cryptographic scheme.

A COPACOBANA machine was built at the University of Kiel, Germany, using 120 FPGA's.

Kiel, Germany is the home of one of the defendents Djamshid Nezhad of Nezhad Enterprise Company, phone number: 49-431-6436698, fax: 49-431-5907027, website: www.nezhad.de

A big problem that we have world-wide is the concept of dual-citizenship.

Our enemies are going to Western universities, graduating and or marrying locals and getting themselves naturalized as citizens of the host countries, in this case Britain, Malaysia, Germany, United States.

The enemy is patient and thinking way ahead.

With foreign citizenship and an open-arms Mother country, they can travel freely and hurt us much easier.

We have to look at this growing security risk and restrict dual citizenship. That would also affect many dual US/Canada and US/Israel citizens that are our best friends.

It needs to be a topic of national debate.

I have lived and studied with Iranians and Arabs. Iranians are easily the most obsessed with education.

They are also the most clever and patient people I've experienced.

I have said before that they are THE significant force in the Middle East and will stop at nothing to dominate the region and the world.

They are going to get atomic weapons, it's a done deal. They have about half the fuel they need, time and technology is on their side. Their facilities are very hardened, they have been tunneling since the 70's.

“We have to look at this growing security risk and restrict dual citizenship.”

Indeed. You cannot serve two masters.
