bttt
Did you notice on the confirmation page at the bottom, the add from moveon.org for free Nobama/Bidet sticker?
Sent it!
Done
Don’t waste your time. It’s just not going to happen.
Done.
“Its just not going to happen.”
Do you think McCain would have chosen Palin if it weren’t for us making a stink? No, he wouldn’t have. It is never a waste of time to attempt to correct a wrong.
Here in Mexifornia we have Boxer and Babs. It would be a waste of bandwith to email them.
"Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our nation with me. I am always pleased to hear from Hoosiers like yourself about what needs to be done for Indiana and the United States .
Our nation is based on the principle of self determination, in which the citizens govern themselves. It is therefore essential that Americans vote in elections and take the time to contact their Representat ives and Senators, just as you have done. Personally, I find it useful to receive ideas and encouragement from people back home, so that I can serve them better.
I am here to fight for the most important Indiana values, to strengthen families, to create jobs, to improve our schools, to provide safer streets, and to build a better future for our children. As I work towards these goals I will also focus on restoring civility, bipartisanship and fiscal responsibility to Washington . Your letters contribute to my efforts to make America a better place.
Please be assured that as I go about my duties as a United States Senator, I will certainly keep your views in mind. Again, thank you for contacting me. I hope the information I have provided is helpful. My website, http://bayh.senate.gov , can provide additional details about legislation and state projects, and you can also sign up to receive my monthly e-newsletter, The Bayh Bulletin , by clicking on the link at the top of my homepage. I value your input and hope you will continue to keep me informed of the issues important to you."
Needless to say I'm not pleased with the canned response. I emailed back a response challenging Bayh to discuss the issue in his office or by phone.
Can the House of Representatives hold hearings on this violation of the Logan Act? If so, House members also need to be contacted, not just senators.
Evan Bayh is also my senator, believe you me I’ve written him before and that is a CANNED RESPONSE!!!! He sends it every d****** time. Which is why I mentioned it will probably end up in the Senate trash.
However, my Congressman Steve Buyer is a different Breed and I have yet to get anything canned in response, he usually writes back personally and tells me legislation he’s working on to support my petition. So hopefully it will at least get through him.
When I sent my letter it also went to my house representative, who happens to be better than my Senators are!
Did it, felt good too.
good for you. i also emailed my senator!
Sometimes it’s better to pick your battles. This is one that won’t be won.
Feinstein has responded to every letter and email I have ever sent her...and there have been many.
Done...will be interesting to see what the Democrat Rep in NC writes back...but am sure Burr and Dole will respond politely.
Unfortunately I’m over in the 1st Congressional District. Big union population over in this part of the country (NWI). I’ve got Visclosky-D as a rep. I must admit he’s a pretty straight shooter on certain areas and I never get canned responses from him. (he still needs to be replaced)
So does Henry Waxman. A lot of good that does in changing their opinions or their votes. I also have written in. Often. I sincerely doubt that an email demanding an investigation into the possible violation of the Logan act will be considered seriously. Benign neglect in the cast of Feinstein, and serous contempt in the case of Boxer.
In sending the online letter, I see that both Senators and House members are included.
Don’t be so sure of that. Hillary would support convicting Barack Obama of a federal crime so long as she could keep her fingerprints off of it.
If Obama wins in 2008, would she be able to challenge the DNC in 2012? Or have to wait until 2016?

Bayh is my Senator too and you are so right, he will just send a standard form letter. But I sent the email regardless. Of course if this were John McCain doing what Obambi did they would have already started an investigation.
I never said my letters have changed her mind on a thing. I know they didn’t on the assault weapons ban. But I enjoyed tearing her weak argument to shreads. I look forward to doing so again.
Hear Hear !
This would require a Republican politician with guts.
Hello...?
I live in NY. Sorry.
Well have at it then. :)
BHO violated the Constitution. Only the President has authority to negotiate treaties with foreign nations, the Senate’s role is to vote up or down.
Done. Sent it to my two moonbat Senators (Boxer and Feinstien) and Congressman (Gary Miller).
{...the add from moveon.org for free Nobama/Bidet sticker?}
Typo or not that is just funny!
LOL! Love how they pretty much admit they don’t read our emails!
Done - I’m sure Claire will get right on it....
That's OK. Next time he's in the area for a public appearance I'll take the opportunity to remind him (in public) that his "Hossier" values have been replaced with "DC" values and that his values need to be replaced.
Done, although I suspect my Washington State DemonRats will ignore me.
Gunner
Done.
I had sent a letter regarding Pelosi’s Syria trip and did get word back from Mike Simpson. He claimed offense back then, but of course nothing come of if.
Obama’s is a blatant violation and needs to be investigated.
Torches and pitchforks. Torches and pitchforks.
I edited the letter:
I demand that Congress open hearings on Senator Barack Obama’s violations of the Logan Act.
I am very angry that Senator Obama will use our Soldiers Lives as political pawns.
On at least two separate occasions, as documented by NBC and The New York Post, Senator Barack Obama has attempted to negotiate a delay to U.S. negotiations with Iraq until after the elections.
This is in violation of the Logan Act, prevents anyone, including members of Congress, from interfering with U.S. negotiations. You have been notified. Probably hundreds of times by now. Your response to me as to your intentions on this matter will be provided to the Washington Times, the Washington Post, and our local paper. Thank you.
eh. that’s it
Obama sucks for doing this. It goes right along with his willingness to allow the murder of babies that survived unsuccessful abortions.
Not a typo...it just came to me after watchy one of those ridiculous Biffy commercials.
September 19, 2008 Dear Representative Gohmert,
Dear Senator Cornyn,
Dear Senator Hutchison,
I respectfully urge that you, as my fellow Texan and elected surrogate in Congress, initiate hearings on Senator Barack Obama's apparent violations of the Logan Act.
On at least two separate occasions, as documented by NBC and The New York Post, Senator Barack Obama has attempted to negotiate a delay to an agreement re U.S. Forces' departure from Iraq until after the elections.
I feel that this is an egregious abuse of his position and is in violation of the Logan Act, which by historical judicial interpretation prohibits anyone, including members of Congress, from interfering with U.S. negotiations.
Thank you for dealing with this issue prior to the upcoming election.
Respectfully and Sincerely,
Example: the Logan Act prohibits such action; it does not "prevent" it (obviously -- since Obama did it)...
LOL!!!
LOL!!!
Then he tried to interfere with negotiations with the Iraqi government and the US Government (setting up his own private deal).
I am sure pelosi and reed will get right on it
BTTT for later.
