When Riordan was running for Governor, McCain endorsed Bill Jones.
That’s all. End of story.
I think a lot of people have been asking that.
Yup. A couple times. 2002 and he was supposedly a contender in the 2003 recall race, ultimately giving his support to Arnie. Arnie then appointed him as Education Secretary where he immediately was embarrassed with some gaffe, calling a young child a "dirty little girl" (or something like that.
I learned everything I needed to know about Riordan by looking at some of his business dealings. Had his brother lived, he would probably have been sentenced to a couple decades in prison for his scams (his partner was sentenced to 20 years for the Equity Funding Corporation insurance scam).
What a suprise
It’s OK, Schwarzenegger was vetted by the Rothchilds too,, and we see how swell that turned out. :-)
Third-waysians rule?
(If you’ll let them)
It takes a special breed to “lead”, yaknow. Mavericks and Trojan Horses are just a couple ways to grab hold of the gubamint corporation apparatik we used to know as US Govt and take it anywhere ya want including upside down.. Obama is just another in a long line of entries from the stable of socialist stalwarts. They are in both parties. ;-)
Riordan is the same kind of Republican David Gergen is. a stealth liberal Democrat.
***That about sums it up.
In a decade or two, the state will be a province of Mexico.

They even have the video clip of it. Cringeworthy!
“Clinton Supporter Rothchild comes out for McCain.”
Saw her on CNN tonight. If you missed it there’s a thread up with the youtube link. She slammed the Democrats pretty good. In the end she said “she didn’t leave the Democrat party, they left her. It’s worth watching.
She’ll be campaigning for McCain/Palin.
***California will be like Bangladesh****
You could say the same thing for America should Obama become President and a Dem controlled Congress. If you look at the Deep Marxist Red States (IL, OR, MA, MI, ME), the Dem Governors have dismal approval ratings. Yet they still were re-elected because Republicans in those regions lost the will to fight. Expect the same thing in DC for the foreseeable future. Our GOP leaders are waiting for a recession under President Obama to do anything.
Sadly, so many of those weak Dem Governors were retained or swept in in ‘06 for essentially the same reasons the GOP swept in in ‘94. But some of our challengers were piss-poor. Ironically, the real success story for that cycle wasn’t one of those Democrats, but none other than Sarah Palin. Had Frank Murkowski been renominated, Tony Knowles would be back in as Governor. She kept Alaska for us. Too bad we don’t have clones of her for so many of our other states.
Bustamante and McClintock would have both increased their share of the vote if it had been Riordan and not Arnold running. I’d guess Bustamante would have won if Riordan was exposed as doddering and senile.
“But Im still basically a Republican,”
STILL? Implies you ever were.
I though RINOs would like moderate McCain as President? Aren’t the Riordan types always b**ching for the party to move left? They do and he backs Berry.
The Stupid Party charges liberally ahead.
Bustamante, I sincerely believed, would’ve lost had we managed to coalesce behind McClintock. Proof of that ? When Bustamante ran in 2006 for another statewide office, he was the ONLY other Dem to lose (against Steve Poizner) besides Ah-nold’s opponent. He was really unpopular.
Arnold obviously got a lot of “Ventura” votes.
Yeah Bustamante was a clown (no on Recall, yes on Bustamante!) He really meant “yes” on recall I bet. Too bad he didn’t run for a different statewide office, one without a RINO for an opponent. They probably didn’t let him. Insurance Commish seems like the bottom of the pile.
In a 3-way race though if Riordan had gotten the establishment support and split the vote with McClintock....what waste of time and effort the whole recall would have been....oh wait. :-X
