Proposal to Team McCain: Three-day PALIN bomb drop on NJ, NY and Mass (Operation Dolittle)

A modest proposal for Team McCain:

Drop the Palin bomb in at least three hyperblue states (NJ, NY and Mass) over a three-day period.

Recent polls show Obama's lead in several hyperblue states narrowing toward single-digits. Of course, team McCain-Palin has little chance of winning any of these states, but "Operation Dolittle" would help serve several tactical (campaigning) and strategic (governing) objectives:

--Shock Team Obama, putting on hyper-defensive.
--Confuse the Dems
--Anger the libs
--Destabilize the opposition.
--Upset the media
--Reninvigorate blue-state conservatives
--Entice blue-state independents
--Raise the odds of a bigger popular vote count
--Set the groundwork for an electoral landslide and an unassailable national mandate to reform

(Shocked, confused, angry, destablized libs make more costly mistakes)

It's time for the Maverick and the Barracuda to take the three-point shot for a national landslide.

IMPAL(in)E the opposition.

First stop: NYC.

Why take a three-point shot when Obama and his goons keep sending them to the free-throw line?

“Why take a three-point shot when Obama and his goons keep sending them to the free-throw line?”

Go for the gold and for a Reagan-sized mandate.

Love to see her in the People’s Republic of Mass.
Not so sure it’ll happen though

Or waste precious resources and lose the game unnecessarily.

I'm all for putting some resources into a variety of states to benefit down-ticket candidates and conservative ballot initiatives, but all this talk about Reaganesque landslides and such... ugh... it's just WAY too early for such stuff.

Good idea. A Palin rally in Wochester, MA would draw a bunch of the conservatives in MA. I’m not being facetious. The areas north and west of Boston ARE conservative. It’s just that the Boston area has so many colleges with their liberals, they overwhelm the rest of the state.

Wochester is in central MA and since MA isn’t all that big, it would attract folks from all over, plus get some people from NH.

Also, to help congressional candidates in the few districts where we have a chance. Good idea.

I think 3 days is a little too much, but they should do a “drive-by” in one day stopping at New York and Boston airports. Media from NY will overlap into New Jersey. Obama/Biden won’t know what hit them.

If Governor Palin were to venture outside the swing states, it would be good to see her visit Seattle and Portland. Washington State has an ethically questionable democratic governor up for re-election who is trailing the Republican candidate. Oregon has a growing republican minority, and a well organized visit might tip the scales. Oregon formerly was about 33% Republican. Now it's about 45%. If Obama shows weakness in these states, Oregon blue-state conservatives who haven't bothered to vote in years will show up at the polls.

If Palin were to visit Portland's waterfront park on a weekend before the weather turns bad, she would likely draw an enormous crowd and her visit would be remembered as an historic one.

Me too. I would definitely go. If she were to no north though, it would be NH.

No. Bad idea. There are less than 60 days to the election. She needs to spend her time exclusively in battleground states. Bush spent WAAAY to much time in CA in both elections. It is a distraction.

WOW! Someone on Palin’s team is a Freeper or a lurker. There was a thread on FR about young Republicans in blue state Chicago and Steve mentioned it was like Doolittle’s Raid. Taking it to the enemy is like going to the belly of the beast.

Congratulations, Steve.

If Sarah Palin comes to Massachusetts, I will definitely come out to see here. And I'll see McCain too if he tags along.

Fact is, we people in Massachusetts are sick and tired of the Democrats and I think McCain/Palin has a real chance to turn Massachusetts red.
