I hope this election comes to be known as, The Slow-Boating of Obama.
There are so many catchy phrases for Obama and his campaign. It will interesting to what he will be known for. The One, Celebrity, Lipstick pig.....which one is gonna stick.
Sweet Home Alabama: McC up by 24; McC up by 18 in
Algore’s home state
In MA where I am, Obamanation up by 12 points but I’d only
hope people would come to their senses. Reagan won MA
once or maybe twice but that was then. (MA independents:
we get to vote against Kerry twice—vote Ed O’Reilly if
you pick a Dem ballot and if Kerry wins, which he should
vote against him again in fall...vote Beatty)
Look at the South and recall what Zell wrote about in
A National Party No More.
Mr. Biden: please take the train for the next 7 weeks. If you die in a jet crash the Democrats will dominate the news and Hillary will have only one man left standing between her and her throne.
America's free future depends on the health and safety of Joe Biden for the next 2 months!
They are counting CO. Dont know how they do that, when McCain hasnt led there (maybe one poll).
It looked to me like they have CO in grey as a toss up state. The numbers though are going down from the Dem convention and I predict we will get CO! McCain/Palin campaign there together Monday!!!
If/when CO goes, it’s over. Then it’s a matter of how big, not whether.
538-0. :)
If/when CO goes, its over. Then its a matter of how big, not whether.
The Dems knew that and by having their convention there it helped to delay the inevitable....but the numbers are declining for Obama there and McCain/Palin head there Monday with incredibly large crowds and national attention. I predict by next weekend we might see it leaning our way. It’s gonna happen!
I am waiting for Rasmussen’s poll today. I thought they released it at 9:30 a.m. each day?
You may be right. It certainly is now standing out as the sore thumb in the entire southwest.
Beware though... October Surprise..... I wonder what it's gonna be this time around and who is gonna break it for which side..... I am betting the its gonna be an obama surrogate.....
Here is what was posted on their website: McCain 49-46 over Obama......today!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows John McCain with 49% of the vote while Barack Obama attracts support from 46%. That is unchanged from yesterday and a complete reversal over the past week.
If you live in a Toss Up State or a state leaning one way or another, like I do in WA, We Have work to do. This map today looks mighty pretty, but those 94 toss-up states could go Obama if we get lazy.
The really good news is that they have the following states as tossups: NH, PA, OH, MI, CO, NM, VA and NV. These are all states that I think McCain/Palin will win. That would give McCain/Palin 321 EVs.
Meanwhile, McCain is taking battleground states off the map from Barry and can start to erode his support in traditional blue states. If McC can cause enough bleeding in states like MI or PA, Barry will be finished.
Perhaps the single greatest strategic mistake was Barry's failure to take public funding. He will have to raise money in addition to campaigning from behind.
BO is in trouble. BIF TROUBLE.
Where I live and work on the Eastside I’m seeing far more
Dino signs than for Fraudoire.
Also fewer O stickers - even a few Nobama ones.
Sarah is scheduled to arrive in two weeks per David Boze,
that may swing WA over to the light side!
McCain/Palin - 381; Obama/Biden - 157
McCain - NH, NJ, PA, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, TN, KY, OH, IN, MI, WI, MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, TX, OK, KS, NE, SD, ND, MT, WY, CO, NM, AZ, UT, ID, NV, OR, WA, AK
Obama - ME, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, DE, MD, DC, IL, CA, HI
And I also predict that Obama will win the majority of his states by less than 5%.
Thanks for the update. Now we need to advance that lead!
All we would need then is VA (13), OH (20), NV (5) and NM (5). That would get us to exactly 270 EC votes without IA and CO (the 2 other states Bush won in 2004).
