As FOS as he is he/d better practice his own prescription at least once a day.
Ditto. I have a couple of his books from twenty years ago. His philosophy on Ayurvedism helped me a lot. Now he turns out to be a fool.
Chopra’s conceit is in establishing Obama as the self against which he juxtaposes the “shadow” of Palin. This has flawed his entire premise and renders what should have been a scholarly discussion merely prejudicial abuse of Jungian psychology. Chopra has assumed that we as a nation accept Obama as our consciousness and our conscience, but that we secretly long for what Palin represents.
The Shadow he purports to cast is actually that part of ourselves we shed long ago, and which now comes back to us in a form that we perceive as evil, because we do not want to accept the responsibility to which it calls us. In that regard, I believe that Sarah Palin is indeed the Liberals’ Shadow, if they accept Obama as the Self. They hate and reject her because they hate and reject that part of themselves, but they know unconsciously that they need it in order to be whole.
He could have balanced it by saying that Obama is the Conservatives’ Shadow, calling them to ideals that may have been left behind but coming back now in a package (called Marxism) that is totally unacceptable.
Alas he did not, thereby rendering his thesis moot, and bestowing a distinct poopy-headedness on himself.
Palin is the pro American shadow to Obama’s anti.
This Deepak guy is Indian-Hindu trash...
He is making money off his distorted view of indian philosophy (which he really doesnot know or understand) tailoring it for new age/hollywood crowd to make good living. He is just a whore.
whoa... is this double speak going around in circles?
And Hussein stands for a new kind of politics on the national stage: Chicago-brand politics, the pinnacle of corrupt politics in America which he embraced affectionately (and to HIS exclusive profit) throughout his illustrious political tenure. That’s the change we can believe in. Why hasn’t that been made into an ad?
And our tax dollars in the form of subsidies to public television help keep him in groceries.
Malice and stupidity expressed through a large vocabulary...
I just emailed this polite letter to his website.
Dear Deepak,
I am disappointed in your opinion of Governor Palin. I have a couple of your books and thought about buying more. After reading your opinion about this election I am going to invest my money elswhere.
Please do not take decision lightly. You see, I do beleive in new thought and have read profound books that have changed my life for the better. There are spiritual principles I try to live by, and I have researched both candidates and realized that Governor Palin core values match mine.
Finally, If you think the late President Reagan brought us to the demoralized state we are in then by all means, you are free to leave this country and prosper elswhere. Thank you for your time.
I suppose this is why we need the superior, nuance enabled elite to govern us.
Deepak, you ignorant slut...
Alaska is several times larger than Delaware and has similar population of Delaware.
It is amazing how emotion really clouds people’s judgement.
Chopra and Obama are both in the hope peddling business, pushing dime bags of dependency. That hopium is as addictive as it is deadly.
this is all you need to know about Deepak http://www.newsmeat.com/celebrity_political_donations/Deepak_Chopra.php
I feel a new age puke coming on.
