A veteran Democratic political strategist has some advice for what appears to many to be a Barack Obama campaign rattled by the explosive entrance into the campaign of John McCain's vice presFormer Hillary Clinton presidential campaign strategist Mark Pennident pick, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Mark Penn, the high-priced strategist who did such a good early job of launching Hillary Clinton's Democratic presidential campaign to doom at the hands of Obama, tells CBS.com he's worried that the Windy City gang will repeat the mistakes of the last two losing Democratic presidential campaigns by returning to the base after their convention instead of staying more on the convention message of centrism.
(snip)
Penn also has a strong warning for the media, caught unawares by the Palin selection and now eagerly pursuing virtually anything to do with her.
"I think here the media is on very dangerous ground," Penn tells CBS.com. "I think that when you see them going through every single expense report that Gov. Palin ever filed, if they don't do that for all four of the candidates, they're on very dangerous ground.
"I think the media so far has been the biggest loser in this race. And they continue to have growing credibility problems.

Yep, when the 'reporter' insertes snark into the second paragraph, you know the advice is going in one ear and right out the other. The ol' liberal wind tunnel effect.
People aren’t stupid. They know that McCain, Biden, nor Obama has ever been subjected to one on one questions that were asked of Palin.
I’ve noticed in the last couple of days that journalists are trying to warn Obama, but it doesn’t seem to be working.
Sort of feel sorry for Obama (not really, LOL) but his quandry is the liberal moonbats are saying, “Attack!” and the political journalists are saying, “You’d better back off.” What’s a body to do?
All I’ve got to say is “the chickens are coming home to roost!”
“the Windy City gang” = Chicago radical 1960-70’s commie left traitors (Ayers, Dohrn, Wright, Klonsky, Farrakhan, etc, etc...)
Interesting choice of photos, LA Slimes.
“I think the media so far has been the biggest loser in this race. And they continue to have growing credibility problems.”

Sorry. They NEVER HAD credibility in the first place so that was an illogical statement.
The Media WOLVES are out to DESTROY Sarah......if we do not let them know, by our SPENDING DOLAARS, how we detest this, then they will succeed.
Hillary, who I can't stand, won the Dem primary popular vote. She dominated Obama in the blue states.
Obama received 90% of the black vote against Hillary.
Obama won red states with large black populations but small Democrat populations. In other words states Obama can't win in the general election.
Obama used his support among blacks and college kids to beat Hillary in caucuses.
The states that matter to Dems most like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio wanted Clinton and feel they were cheated.
In other words, Hillary was really the Democrats choice. The media pushed Obama and got him. The Dem party could be finished.
Combine all this with the medias branding of McCain as a Maverick centrist for the last 8 years and their trashing of Sarah Palin which rallies the Republicans base and it should be no contest.
Rings true and factual now!
Oh, like when ABC edits out dozens of answers (”in the interests of time, you know..”) in Palin’s Gibson interview.
Bias is one thing. We can’t control the tone of someone’s voice (like that witch who does the Fox radio reports, for instance) when they disparage everything Republican, and sound bright and chipper at the very mention of the word Democrat - but out and out manipulating an interview to make the candidate look bad is beyond the pale.
Just goes to show we’re at war against the media, as much as we are against the Obamatards.
Sean Hannity: 2008 is the year journalism died in America.
The flat-out hate and bias they have for Sarah is psychotic.
Like the cover story of US mag. the title for August was centered on Obama. They showed him & Michelle, embracing and smiling. The headline read; “Why he loves her.” Then went on and on to swoon over his noble and righteous quest for “Change”.
Then in September, it was about Sarah. It read; “Babies, Lies and Scandal.” It was completely centered on “Troopergate, her new son, which she lacked the courage to be “responsible” and forced him to be born anyway, (Not to mention the cover-up.) so-called Alaskans who said she was a horrible Governor, etc,,,.
Then there was the recent Babwa Wa Wa melt down, shouting at and heckling McCain on the “View”, when they had Michelle on and they laughed and giggled together over “First Lady” things.
It’s all very sickening and I hope they lose. These are evil, ugly people who do not deserve to be rewarded for their pathological dishonesty.
Obie would’nt be a senator if Jack Ryan’s divorce records had remained private. I wonder who had a hand in making them public?
Let's see, so that would have been his stellar advice that let his benefactor sashay around, hubristically looking forward to her coronation. It was his and her not allowing substantive media questions that ultimately saddled us all with the never-vetted, never-held-to-account, emptiest of suits.

Stuck on stupid.
Stuck on stupid.
Stuck on stupid.
Stuck on stupid.
Stuck on stupid.
This is exactly right. Obama’s high number of states in the primaries are not necessarily where the overall votes will go.
If a majority of blacks are democrats, and 90% of the black vote went to Obama, then he would do well in the primaries. But in the general, the black vote isn’t going to help in an overall victory.
He saw himself a MLK Jr. and didn’t realize that there are alot of people in this country.
And I think Palin is right, I think he is regretting not picking Hillary as VP.
Interesting photo indeed. If cornered, I’m sure the MSM would feign innocence. They remind me of juvenile delinquents spray painting graffiti.
