Bill Clinton Meets With Conservative Financier Scaife in Harlem
Fox News ^ | Sept 12, 2008 | Major Garrett

Bill Clinton met Wednesday for more than an hour with Richard Mellon Scaife — the principal financier of conservative research and articles about Clinton scandals — at the former president’s Harlem Global Initiative offices, according sources familiar with the meeting.

Scaife requested the meeting to discuss Clinton’s global initiative work and possible ways the two might work together on charitable and humanitarian projects.

Still, the meeting came as a shock to Clinton loyalists there to witness Scaife’s arrival.

“I must say, it was amazing to be in the office and see the vast right wing conspiracy walk right past you and into Clinton’s office,” said a Clinton associate.

Whoa. That is interesting.

One wonders if Clinton isn’t interested in a little sabotage this election...

Imagine how Scaife must’ve felt in Harlem.

If he’s such a staunch conservative, why does his paper endorse John Murtha election after election?

Clinton is out with long knives for the Messiah....He is telegraphing to his and Hillary’s supporters that it is ok to vote McCain//Palin. Hillary will not attack Palin, and Bill will help Barry as little as he can get away with. They see Barry is drowning and they are not about to throw him a life vest.

As for Hillary replacing Lpugs Biden on the ticket, I do not think there is any way she would do that. No upside for her, and lots of downside risk. If she accepted that and Obama still lost, she would be stained just like the Silky Pony was in the last election.

With the historical opposition to Clinton it is interesting. However philanthropy makes strange bedfellows.

Course for Clinton it may be philanthropy with a personal agenda.

Imagine how Scaife must’ve felt in Harlem.

I doubt it phased him much. His home in Pittsburgh is in an upscale neighborhood for sure, but just about any direction he would go from there would take him through some areas that aren't nearly as nice as Harlem (at least the part Bill Clinton's office is in.)

This is too weird. This can only fuel theories that Bill is trying to sabotage Barry from behind closed doors.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of the Dem establishment is in on it. Harry Reid was the first one to refer to President McCain after all.

conservatives are people too--lol.

I love it. I want to think there is more here than meets the eye. I hope there is. However I guess I am thinking it really has more to do with his initiative. Bubba still the most powerful man in Democratic politics--lol. Obama brought himself down as did his delusional handlers that thought the MSM pass on vetting them would get them into office. However having Bill Clinton hold him in such contempt (as we all know he does behind closed doors) in not good for a man crashing and burning in the Democratic party.

Hillary knew Obama could not pull off the last two months. To quote our beloved--lol-- Bill, "Give Me a BREAK!"

You know the ‘Toons are highly focused on getting their money back that they “loaned” Hildy’s campaign.

Hmm.

The Clinton 2012 campaign exploratory committee...

Count on it.

I think Hillary wouldn’t hitch her wagon to Obama at this point — too much risk she’ll be taken out of the running by his baggage.

Look for Hillary to roll out a long term attack on Palin, to try to weaken her as opponent in 2012.

Like that square on a chessboard, against which first a pawn moves, then a bishop. A knight, another bishop. A rook. Castling, a queen.

It’s all starting to look like the real battle will be between those two women.

Amazing how things turn out.

I think Schaife and Clinton had more in common then they even thought. They both like women other then there wives. (I think Schaife divorced his wife)

HRC won't take second place. Her return to power requires that the absolute defeat of the Obama-Dean-Brazile-Pelosi-Reid DNC coupsters. Obama's personal defeat and any downstream effects will help HRC purge D party non-HRC apparatchiks.

The guerilla war within the D party has just begun. Watch the lugnuts start slowly flying off their wheels.
