The “EAGLETON OPTION” Would be the Death of his Campaign.
it would go DIRECTLY to his judgement, and Sarah Palin would come off as MUCH, MUCH less abrasive than Hillary would!!

Even before Palin I was thinking McCain by 8-10% nationally. Most people don't even start thinking politics 'til October, and it's easy to get caught up in paying attention to the talking heads...which is, after all, what they're there for.
I'd truly love to see Obama join McGovern and Mondale on the smouldering ash-heap of history. Of course, there'd be riots because America had proven itself a racist nation. It's not enough that Obama got the nomination...he's owed the Presidency.

(John McCain is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.)

It would be the death of his campaign. Schmidt would capitalize on it so hard that obama is so weak that he has to keep changing his position, lump him with a typical RAT, and remind the world of Al Gore who couldn't do anything without a poll.
The flames would make Prometheus wince at his decision.

The EAGLETON OPTION Would be the Death of his Campaign. It would mean that he had blown the first major decision of his prospective administration. It would prove the points the GOP's commercials have been making.
