John McCain will create a Service to America initiative to strengthen the teaching and understanding of American history, culture and core ideas, and to inspire Americans to serve causes greater than their own self interest. Civic participation by citizens over a lifetime, working in neighborhoods and communities, and service of all kinds - military and civilian; full-time or part-time; and national or international - can renew America's civic purpose and heal our fractured patriotism.

“If there is a documented source proving that B. Hussein will even consider reviving the draft, it would cost him the “yoots” vote. But, I don’t think you will be able to document that.” bttt ~ no dems

You just gotta look under a different word or phrase. :)

In a speech, Obama said he wanted to grow the military by 65,000. Not only that, but if any were to call for a draft, it would be Barack Obama and the DemocRATS. They’re already on the record proposing the idea. (Don’t forget, Obama has already said that he wouldn’t immediately pull out of Iraq, he wants to fight in Afghanistan, and has suggested that he might even invade Pakistan.)

Obama, like all ‘RATS, will push his agenda by stealth. Instead of calling it a (mandatory) draft, he’ll call it something like, “Service Nation” where the service is mandatory.

Oh, WAIT! That’s already in the works!

Is Obama Pushing A National Draft?

A relatively new group, Service Nation, is planning to kick off a campaign with a Summit for “National Service” on September 11. Time Magazine has signed on to promote the effort.

The website trumpets its training of “Change Agents” in cooperation with “Change, Inc.” Its blog is called ChangeWire. Does this theme sound familiar?

The website makes it clear that it is not just calling for individuals to get involved, but it is calling for a new National Service Act that will involve the government in transforming American society...

Note the interpretation of community service as promoting national defense, just as in Barack Obama’s July 2, 2008 speech, a juxtaposition that confused most bloggers.

Under [DemocRAT] Rangel’s [military draft] bill, if one is selected for induction into the military, one may choose instead to do civilian service.

... the bill calls this mandatory service “Voluntary Service.”

Barack of Nazareth speaks with a forked tongue. He can run but he can’t hide.
