Ras had an outlier poll in Florida and he knows it. He said he will be starting a new one because the last one was conducted with a hurricane approaching in the background.

I fell very good about Florida, Ohio and Virginia. Colorado and Nevada still have me concerned, but I think they will come through for us in the end as well.

Well, if Obama EXPECTS to bring in 90$ of the black vote, I don’t see why white women shouldn’t vote 90% for President Palin... I mean, Vice-Preisdent Palin.

I suspect it’s all over for Obama, look for his campaign to get increasingly nasty and dirty....kinda like the media has been for the past weeks.

If McCain can put battleground states like Florida and Ohio under wraps, and move the battle ground into states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennselvania, Obama is in trouble.

“McCain’s support with white voters is at a new high, as he leads 61-34 with them.
Obama will have a hard time winning the state if he can’t cut down that margin and also
increase his lead with Hispanic voters, among whom he currently leads 49-42.”

Well Said. Scott did a great job in 2004 and 2006, but his FLA poll yesterday was flawed. As I said before, you cannot be up 7% in Ohio and be tied in Florida as a Republican.

Exactly. If McCain had comfortable leads in both Ohio and FLA in late October it would allow him and Sarah to live in CO, Mich, and Penn.

Cool, but I sense complacency. I decided to go down to the Palm Beach County McCain office (301 Yamato Road, Boca) to volunteer in person. Got there, and it is a small office in an office building with two desks, old (meaning BSP) yard signs and NOBODY THERE. OK, it was 9:30 AM and maybe they were getting coffee, but c'mon guys!

Back in the day, I worked for a lot of campaigns over the years and they all had the big room with lots of tables for mailings or calling. I hope to hell that these guys have another place to go for that kind of stuff.

I am going to put in a call over there and see what is going on. I am going to just take the place over if they aren't going to do anything.

Scott Rasmussen said on Hannity and Colmes last night that his Florida poll from yesterday that showed the two tied might be flawed because of people paying attention to and preparing for the hurricane.

Do not count on Nevada. McCain came in third in the caucus. Palin has helped in the North but Vegas is infested with Kalifornians.

This cycle Florida will be out of play for the RATS by mid-October. BO does very poorly with seniors, who obviously dominate the FL electorate. FL also has a significant military presence, both active and retired, which carried McCain across the finish line in the primary. Add the Cuban vote in, along with a plurality of the Jews, and it’s solid McCain.

There is an increasingly good chance that Obama is going to lose so badly in the election that he will challenge George McGovern for the worst loss ever in a presidential race.

However, that being said, the important thing is what happens after. Hillary will become the effective head of the Democrat party, and will begin to systematically purge most of the radical extremists who cost her the nomination.

While she will entirely be motivated by revenge, the effect for the Democrats of returning to some semblance of moderation will bode well for their performance in future elections.

Importantly, much will depend on if Obama drags Democrat congressmen and senators down with him. In the long run, this could benefit the Democrats even if they are left in the minority for a time.

The new extreme left will probably become the Green Party, which will leave the Democrats in a more popular centrist position, as the Greens will only be marginal at best. But from that position, they will still have considerable control without the erosive effects of the extreme radicals.

Good for you! Wish I could join you, but my commute from Connecticut would be a problem...

My biggest worry is that McCain's camp gets complacent and loses the "ground game" to Obama in November. From that I've heard, Obama's got a formidible get out the vote effort underway. The 'RATs are still angry over losing in 2000 and 2004... they're pulling out all the stops to win THIS time...

That would be the best thing for the Republic. A more conservative Democrat party that could help keep the Republicans honest, and the Kos party with Chairman Obama.
