That she was a small-town conservative who had risen from mayor of Wasilla (population 9,700) to be governor of a state twice the size of Texas.

Ahem, that's twice the area of Texas. We're the second largest state in the Union both geographically, and electorally (read population) so let's not throw out an ambiguous "size" when on hand we have a dozen cities larger than Alaska.

Dear Pat,

Sarah Palin is doing JUST FINE without you. Please stay out of the picture so you don’t ruin it for her.

What, in any or all of this, is there to justify the feral attacks within minutes of her introduction?

Easy. She's a real woman. This is something that the typical hairy armpitted, greasy haired, fat assed, repulsive liberal female cannot relate to.

Envy must be the root of this blind hatred.

So, instead of perhaps taking a shower, shaving those pits, washing that greasy hair, and perhaps a little exercise, it's easier to be pissed off and turn their anger towards someone they actually wish they could be.

I think most are PO'd because they wanted Hillery and got a coke head and a drunkard instead.
What do I know, I'm just a rich conservative.

we haven’t seen anything this disgusting before. Not even against W Bush, Cheney or any other conservative.

Palin represents a clear and present danger to the core of liberalism itself that goes beyond any political campaign.

She is pro-life...and not only was pregnant but kept a Down’s baby
She is capitalist...even though her husband is a union member.
She’s for drilling in ANWR and against global warming...even though she’s from Alaska and loves the outdoors
She’s pro-gun...even though she is one of “millions” of moms.
She provides not just conservative words; her whole life is a vivid example of conservative principles in action.

She came from an ordinary family, ordinary schools and married a husband who makes $46,000, not $4.6 million. That’s someone most people can relate to.

And she is very very smart and charming.

“Darkness hates the light.”

John 3:19 - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

I’m not sure, but I think it’s a safe bet that her religion is Democrat, regardless of her ethnic heritage.

It's fear of utter defeat that animates the left.

Christian Conservative, right to life, etc., etc. None of these things alone engender hatred as much as the fact that she connects with a majority of anti-liberal Americans and that will begin the liberals' extinction.

We're the second largest state in the Union

Until Alaska decides cut it's self in half and Texas becomes the THIRD largest state.

I imagine the rage is because the left just saw their dreams of total government power suddenly dissipate into rapidly clearing smoke.

What did Sarah Palin ever do to inspire the rage and bile that exploded on her selection by John McCain?

She energized the conservative voters, and is going to spoil the democrats victory in Nov.

If it’s because she’s a devout Christian, then that speaks volumes about the liberal left. After all, those are the ones who are pro-abortion.

The Didache specifically says not to abort an unborn child.

And more important that anything, she is a child of God.

‘Nuff said.
