Palin's Religious Views Follow Evangelical Model (How The MSM Sees An Evangelical Christian Alert)
Star Tribune ^ | 9/07/2008 | George Bryson And Richard Mauer

Palin considers herself a born-again conservative Christian. She supports teaching creationism in public schools, outlawing nearly all abortions (even in cases of rape or incest) and prohibiting same-sex marriage.

But she has yet to advance legislation that insists that creationism, or "intelligent design," be taught in public school science classes whenever biological evolution is taught -- as urged by a plank in the official Alaska Republican Party platform.

Nor has she tried so far to eliminate standard sex-education classes in public schools in favor of the abstinence-only programs she prefers.

That Palin hasn't yet pushed a religious conservative agenda isn't surprising, said state Rep. Beth Kerttula, a Juneau Democrat and House Minority Leader.

The MSM thinks Sarah has a religious conservative agenda - but hasn't imposed it yet upon Alaska! Heh.

I had a very religious person complain to me about the local liberal rag. I told him that he shouldn’t complain since he is paying their salary and I suggested he cancel his subscription. He said he couldn’t do that because he needs the coupons. Go figure.

For someone who has been embraced nationally as being exactly what evangelical Christians want in Washington, Palin is surprisingly circumspect these days on the subject of religion.

For someone who has been ruthlessly smeared by the media, this is not surprising.

Pray for the construction of the $30 billion natural gas pipeline, Palin told them. Pray for the military men and women overseas, "that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for -- that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

And the problem with praying for all that would be...what?

Her religious beliefs are none of the media's business, yours or mine. There's such a thing as freedom of religion in our country and we don't have to declare how we choose to worship God to any one but Him.

What times in which we live. They’re never going to get it until every knee bows and every tongue confesses.

Is that like the guy whose wife thinks she’s a chicken but he won’t leave her because he needs the eggs?

No offense to anyone, but she doesn’t comport herself like a born-again Evangelical Christian.

You are getting born-again Evangelical Christians confused with self-righteous, pious, hypocritical Christians. Most of us BAEC are quite “normal”and a lot of fun to be around.

How does a born-again Evangelical Christian comport him or herself?

Some of us are just pieces of crap who seek forgiveness. Better to be cold, than lukewarm.

She doesn't need to. In spite of all her flaws (like me and the rest of us) there is that baby for all the world to see. She could have quietly and secretly had it aborted, just as she could have quashed her daughter's baby.

That is called LOVE. And that is why the left HATES her.

LOVE.

They want to say those babies are alive for political purposes?

Fine.

But they are ALIVE.

The Left can't escape that.

They’re never going to get it until every knee bows and every tongue confesses.

And even then, it'll be the force of truth that compels them. In all seriousness, even when every knee does bow, how many of those knees still will not do so willingly?

Oh, boy. Now you've done it. You've unleashed the whirlwind.

I'm not ready for that yet. It's not far away, though.
