wow. That’s all I can say. They have completely undercut the basis for Obama, and also Obama’s case against McCain. First, Obama’s change isn’t anything new...just big government liberalism. McCain/Palin isn’t Bush III.

We now see why Obama and his fellow travellers in the press have been so rattled—their internal polling has been telling them this.

When you go to Gallup Daily tracking poll for today it says, McCain 48%, Obama 45%,

Where are the new numbers coming from?

Oh I wish I could remember who said it back before the convention began but...they said McCain might get a slight bump but...if we’re talking about 10 points or so...that’s a LOT. Just can’t remembr what show it was. Anyone else see or hear it? Just curious. Seems like this is a big bump to me.

McCain/Palin isn’t Bush III.

You're right. It's better.

McCain/Palin is definitely not Bush III, and it’s impossible for Obama to paint them that way. Independents know that McCain was on the outs with his own party for a while, and it’s becoming clear that Obama is worse than a typical politician—he’s a megolomaniac who’s in love with the sound of his own voice. If there was ever a politician who I fear could try to become America’s first dictator (maybe second, after FDR), it’s Nobama. When he says that McCain and Palin are “lying” about being mavericks, he just looks bitter and angry, and the truth is that McCain was known as a maverick for years.

McCain/Palin are not Bush III, but Obama/Biden is most DEFINITELY Carter II. For those of you old enough, Nobama’s tire inflation = Carter’s wearing sweaters in the White House. And his stated foreign policy almost makes Carter look like a hawk. I agree that the US needs more “soft power” throughout the world, but I don’t want to go back to the bad old, pre-Reagan days of high taxes and “stagflation.”
