This could actually work to our advantage. Yes, Paul ran as a republican, but most who voted for him were the young Internet crowd. After he dropped out, they went for Obama. (I know, logically it makes little sense to go from Paul to Obama, but it’s all about being anti-war and trendy.) I think Ron Paul would take more votes from Obama than McCain.

If Ron Paul wants gender reassignment who are we to stand in his way?
To: robert david
Paul is a fruticake that has mesmerized some very vocal people. He did not garner enough votes in the primaries to make any difference.
Being anti-war, I think he would hurt Obama/Biden more than McWhatHisName/Palin.

Well, anything is possible.
Since the constitution neither provides nor allows for coalition government, third parties are moot and voting for third party candidates is throwing your vote away.
Certainly this does not escape all but the looniest third party candidates or thier voters. They fancy themselves as making a statement that will be heard by the incoming administration.
What escapes them is that incoming administrations will utterly ignore anything they have to say.
Consider the large Perot voter turnout, which guaranteed the election of William Clinton - TWICE.
Though it was the Perotistas that got Clinton into office - both times - they and their concerns were completely ignored by the new administration.
If anything, they were disdained and disparaged.
