Even municipalities of 100,000 like to think of themselves as “small towns”, if only in their dreams.

Unfortunately this cognitive dissonance extends to Berkeley California and Bethesda Md, which in 30 years changed from small town kinds of places to major urban centers and they cannot deal with it except to rope off access to 2/3 of their streets to the rest of us who pay the taxes that build and maintain them.

I live 2 1/2 hours away from Colorado Springs in the Fourteener Country. I believe you when the event is sold out! El Paso County is the most Republican county in the nation and Doug Lamborn is our area's Congressman!

I was one of the lucky ones! My sister and I went to the rally in O’Fallon, Missouri for McCain/Palin. They were on their way to Minnesota for the convention and her nomination as VP.

I CAN TELL YOU I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO SUCH AN ELECTRIFIED AND EXCITED CROWD IN MY LIFE!

We sat on the lawn for 5 hours and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I got pics I'm having put into a scrap book for my granddaughters so they can have a piece of history in the making.

BTW, I have never seen so many men as excited about a woman running for office. It made me proud to see such unabashed enthusiasm from the men in the crowd.

My guess is New Yorkers taking over the colleges and ski areas there.

That’s because she’s proud to be a woman who is proud of her man.
