A female police officer for the Medina city police, of Ohio, shot and killed a harmless family pet on 6/7/08 at 6:50 p.m. after responding to a disturbance call for loud music.

It’s the new rule with cops - you first shoot the family dog even if you have to chase it down inside the house and it’s hiding under the bed .... happened to that mayor.

It was a mostly white pit/boxer mix, 4 bullet holes, LOTS of blood on the other side....pretty gross. Pooch had had some pups quite recently, looks like it from the body, yep.
Yes, some LEO’s are big on the shoot the dog thing.
It’s really sad, and it should be expensive.

I dont know. That is the point...absent facts (not emotion fill innuendo) I try not to get spun up. That coupled with my not having a negative predisposition towards the police and I find these kind of threads very amusing.
I reckon if I was a cop and doing a breach (I hasten to posit that I am more CQB quall’d then the majority of FReepers) I am focused on the target and protecting myself....ANY perceived threat runs the risk of getting tapped. Just a part of the process.
So I default thinking maybe most of these are simply reaction shots at perceived threats (OODAd probably in nanoseconds).
