Accusations of a connection between Barack Obama and ex-Weatherman Bill Ayers have recently been gathering steam in conservative journals thanks to Weekly Standard and National Review contributor Stanley Kurtz.
For the uninitiated, the Weather Underground was a domestic terrorist group that grew out of the New Left in the '60s and '70s. The group sought to transform America into a communist nation. Obviously, Obama does not seek such a transformation, but relationships with people like Ayers do raise other questions.
More to the point is that Mr. Kurtz, along with many other journalists and lawyers, is investigating files that were recently released by the University of Illinois at Chicago that could have information regarding the relationship between Ayers and the Democratic nominee. As of yet, nothing has been found, but this does not mean that new evidence of a serious connection won't come up in the near future.

He's more of a Fabian socialist looking to slowly get by the ballot what his friends failed to quickly get by the bullet.
It makes sense that Obama would be friends with a weatherman, since he is a weather vain.

The young author shows us that there are many college kids capable of thinking for themselves and refuting the Leftist who run them. But having two 20 somethings I already knew that.

The MSM and the rest unfortunately have dropped this and are not making much mention of it. We need to keep bringing this up along with some of Wright’s sermons to defeat Obama.

Connections between to Barack Obama, Bernardine Dohrn, William Ayers are easy to find. (media doesn’t investigate anything unless it is Governor Palin’s beautiful family)

this link is interesting...In 2002 all three where speakers at the same conference, and the number of speakers at the conference was relatively small.

He doesn’t seek such transformation? I remain unconvinced with that comment. Nothing he has said or done has changed my mind otherwise.
I highly recommend the documentary made a couple of years ago about the weather underground. It ties together all the information tidbits about the group and left me with a very grim view of BHO. Ayers and Dorn cooperated with the doc, but it is not pro-weatherman.

Interestingly enough, I am currently reading "The Strong Man", John Mitchell and the secrets of Watergate, and Ayers is mentioned in the book at a time when Mitchell was early in his time as AG. Nixon and Mitchell intensified its investigation and infiltration of militant left-wing groups. According to a revolutionary group in Boston, Mitchell and the rest are out to destroy youth culture. "Mitchell was a symbol"' said Ayres, a member with his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, of the infamous Weathermen. A Marxist offshoot of SDS(Students for a Democratic Society), the Weathermen took their name from a line in Bob Dylan's 1965 alienated-youth anthem "Subterranean Homesick Blues": "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." They later changed the name as it is now known as the Weather Underground. This movement has been in existence since the sixties and is the case with many communist sympathizers of that era, still exist and hold the views of that era still today. This association is truly a passing of the torch from Ayers to the next generation to continue the movement.

Why is this obvious? I have a close colleague, the only other conservative in my department besides folks who grew up under Communism who followed David Horowitz's track from the '60's "New Left" (in Chicago's Hyde Park no less) to conservatism, who said of Obama, simply "He's a Communist. I know, I used to be one."
I was reading an article, or rather trying to read an article, called, Obama, the postmodern Manchurian candidate. The blurb on Google said that it drew a connection between the fact that Obama’s mother worked for the Ford Foundation and that Obama worked for Gamaliel, and did Ayres get the job at Gamaliel for Obama. The article disappeared as I was trying to read it, just gone.
You are just saying that to cover up for being a copycat.

The main stream media is the antithesis, the exact opposite, of the heroic Lois Lane type investigative reporter. The main stream media is un-truth, un-justice and un-the American way. The main stream media is blind, biased, and intellectually lazy. All they do is regurgitate DNC talking points-- they have zero independent thought and ability to think and investigate for themselves.

There are dozens of people to interview that went to this conference and dozens of obvious questions to ask given known history of Bernardine Dohrn, and William Ayers. Will they do it, no. They are not serving their shareholders, their country, or journalistic integrity, they are servants of the DNC and trapped in chains by their philosophies of life which isn't interested in the truth.

Ayers and Dohrn stole SDS from the founding democratic socialists when it was splintered. Obama is trying to steal the Dim party and the presidency. It’s not quite Fabian because it is a fraud. Obama will not admit his socialist program.

They didn’t really steal SDS. It splintered into three factions after Weathermen pushed for terrorism. Two more conventional factions refused to go along. PLP, Progressive Labor Party, was the Maoist faction devoted to organizing in factories and shops; RYM2, Reveolutionary Youth Movement II, was more into community organizing. Its leader, “Slim” Coleman got ordained and is now trying to be a white Jessie Jackson working with the Illegals.
Stan Kurtz is doing an outstanding job.
