They are real alright and more and more of them, particularly with the Palin announcement, are planning on voting for McCain now.

It shouldn't be surprising socialists from the Democrat party support McCain considering he has supported them many times over there years by voting with them on many issues. He being the presumptive nominee and being supported by RATS not only shows how far to the left the GOP has moved but also the two parties are merging as one. Welcome to the Republicrat party!

Actually, the numbers openly stating that they will vote for McCain has increased dramaitcally because of Palin...who is much more conservative and in many ways the antithesis of what these people say they believe in.

They are mad at Obama and striking out at him...and that's fine with me if it keeps Obama out. McCain is ceretainly far from any conservative ideal, but there are some issues he holds ground with us on, and his pick of Palin has to be acknowledged. It was a very good move and does put a very conservative individual on the ticket a heart beat away from the presidency.

Having checked out some of these PUMA sites from posts here on FR that have provided links I’m not convinced all these PUMAs are socialists. Many strike me more as Reagan Democrats rather than kool-aid drunk leftists.

I am not a supporter of McCain but I can't for the life of me see where he is a Socialist.

I disagree with him on “illegasl aliens” and strongly against the McCain Fiengold Bill.

But even when he voted against the tax decrease, he tried to get the spending cut that should have been in the bill. There were so many earmarks that the spending turned out to be more than the increase of revenue.

He also is against earmarks, not against taxes for roads, schools etc.

If he has been for the spending for some of these entitlements I really would like to know when and what they were and how he voted. I can easily be anti McCain.

Not trying to be argumentative just would like to see what I evidently haven't paid much attention to. I will vote agaionst Obama regardless, but would like to know more about McCains voting record.
