Obviously, that’s correct. I misspoke, or rather miswrote. I meant “send” in the sense that, she gave him a “sendoff”. From her speech last week, it’s obvious she approved wholeheartedly and that he left with her blessings.

Pay special attention to 3:13 of this video so you can catch the very emphatic movement of her head when she says around 3:20 that her son joined the U.S. Army:
