The discussion was about two known individuals records. Lets keep it on the subject. And the other poster brought up the term. My comment was to leave it along.

that’s the point, the same scumbag democrats that dragged cheney through the mud for 8 years will now ignore or defend the same behavior from their VP canidate

I was unaware that pattern baldness would make one medically ineligible for vietnam.

Cheney has a bad heart, not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Childhood asthma that was no longer symptomatic was not a disqualifying physical condition.

It still isn't. My son started to join the Army and was asked if he had ever had asthma and he stated that as a child he had occasionally been treated for asthma. He was further asked if he was on medication for asthma and told them that he hadn't taken any medication for at least 12 years, they showed no further concern.

P.S. Now my OTHER son developed asthma as a teen and still must take medication. Once I told a recruiter about his asthma, he stopped calling immediately.

...thanks for pointing the front line aspect out. There’s a big difference there.

Later in life, at the time, he claimed the same as biden, education, then he claimed marriage and children. Like I said, best let it go, but biden is still using other people words.

Then in April 1968, when he was 25, Biden was disqualified from service due to asthma.

Not too long before I booked my vacation to a well-known Southeast-Asian resort country. Obviously, I didn't have a good working relationship with the local draft board.

(Actually, I enlisted before I even had to register for the draft, but, hey, a little hyperbole is better than gross hypocrisy, right?)

Biden is a piece of canine excrement and all the lowlife pieces of canine excrement that raised the issue of Cheney's deferments are guilty of hypocrisy.

Too damn bad there isn't a death penalty for being a hypocritical damned democrat.

and not for some jive JAG duty like Biden’s,...

Don't be surprised if young Biden ends up leading the prosecution of some poor army fire team because they did not give captured terrorists mint juleps when they detained them.

“You’d think with that much schooling he’d be smarter.”

Well, what did Forrest Gump say? “Stupid is as stupid does”.

Here’s a fresh new quote from the ole gaffer himself; “Joe Biden says there are obvious differences between himself and fellow vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, She’s good-looking.”

Sarah Palin is going to cut Biden to shreds in the upcoming VP debates. I can’t wait, bring the popcorn...

He was draft-eligible to 26. He got deferments up to 24, then got married, which effectively exempted him.

There is a story in the making about his relationship with the members of the draft board. Draft boards were godlike in those days and some were very susceptible to political and other pressures. Remember Clinton’s dealings with his draft board president?
