“The economy is in shambles.”
The economy is growing at 3.3%. Things could be a whole lot better, but shambles? I’m just old enough to (barely) remember the Carter years. My family lived on spaghetti dinners three nights a week. My dad had four jobs close up under him in three years. Our heating bills were killing us and the President told us to lower the thermostat and put on a sweater. THAT was a shambles, Mr. Continetti.
Sometimes, I just want to smack these people. I really do.
Hey now, what’s wrong with spaghetti dinners three nights a week? Heck, I woulda loved to be part of your family then. I’d be over those three nights.
