WASHINGTON -- Barack Obama is an immensely talented man whose talents have been largely devoted to crafting, and chronicling, his own life. Not things. Not ideas. Not institutions. But himself.

The two people who should be able to tell us “who Obama really is” are Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers.
Oh, but they are just a wee bit embarrassing to the candidate since they are both fanatical, contemptible leftists.
What a curious situation, the two most important relationships of his adult life and they are officially “off-limits” because they are so embarrassing to him. Hmmmmmmmmm.......
A brilliant and scathing criticism by Krauthammer. Obama is an empty suit who understands little about leadership. When you elect a President based solely on celebrity, you will soon suddenly realize you have a celebrity as President.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s “immensely talented”.
He’s a great at reading a speech, but his rhetoric is largely vacuous, and get him away from the teleprompter and he stumbles like an eighth grader.
He can’t become the Democratic nominee and be completely stupid, but his meandering responses at the Saddleback church show a man who doesn’t know himself well enough to know what he believes. Unless, he really DOES know what he believes, but is afraid to say (which is worse).
REAL CLEAR POLITICS.com: Washington - "THE PERFECT STRANGER" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The deeper anxiety was that the party was nominating a man of many gifts but precious few accomplishments -- bearing even fewer witnesses.") (August 29, 2008)
I just LOVE Krauty! WHAT an article. So eloquent.
That's a very good observation. Furthermore, I very much doubt that he will participate in any debates or unscripted moments, and I think the tactic used will be, as you suggest, that of keeping him out of reach except for sound bites and photo ops.
Krauthammer's article was good, except that he seems to think the Dems are wondering who their candidate really is and if it was smart of them to make a commitment with so little knowledge. Personally, I don't think they're wondering at all. I don't think they care. Obama's going to be packaged to make them feel good, and they'll be completely satisfied with the sound bites and photo ops. They don't really want to know who he is, where he came from or what he and the people behind him actually have planned.
Every time I think the DNC cannot further blur the distinction between an episode of professional wrestling and their leadership expositions, they surprise me. The whole Herbert Marcusian pall that hangs over this election is frightening. We criticise under pain of racism, or bullying. Does he look oppressed to you? Powerless? Meanwhile, this fraud gets to expound all sorts of nonsense with impunity. Mom said, “Show me you friends and I’ll show you yourself.” One-fourth Ayers plus one-forth Wright plus one-forth Resko plus one-forth Chicago ward politician equals one Obama. Do the math.
Re post no. 5-The quote from “The Perfect Stranger” should be attributed to Charles Krauthammer.
Bump
The “Democratic” Party must be desperate to sell its soul to show-man,a croock, who lies on his own life(”he has never been a muslim”,hiding hese relations with far-left activists...)...
Obama’s political emptyness is the emptyness of the “Democratic” party...
Many “democrats” ,when they speak together, say that they know that “the citizen of the world” is lying(on himself and on his policy)but never mind they will take any means to reach the goal...
>> “She of course endorsed him. But the endorsement was... to get Democratic things done. God bless America.”
Except she didn’t even say God bless America. She said “God bless you and God speed.” Check it out on youtube.com, approx. at 1:13 on the video. She made the speed sound more like spayed, too.

Agreed. CK sums the entire Denver Debacle up nicely:
>>Instead, nothing. She of course endorsed him. But the endorsement was entirely programmatic: We’re all Democrats. He’s a Democrat. He believes what you believe. So we must elect him — I am currently unavailable — to get Democratic things done. God bless America.<<
I might add that the rapist scumbag being a habitual liar may have influenced that line of thinking as well.
Having slowly woken up, [Democrats] see the ring and wonder who exactly they married last night.
The question is are they now contemplating doing a "Coyote Ugly" maneuver?
Too late. They slept through the snooze alarm.
