TEMPLE OF DEM ON MT. O-LYMPUS GOP MOCKS GRAND STAGE FOR BAM AS GREEK HUBRIS By JEREMY OLSHAN and GEOFF EARLE, Post Correspondents TOGA PARTY: Democratic nominee Barack Obama might as well show up in a Greek god's classical robes and laurel for tonight's nomination acceptance speech, his foes are hooting.

Last updated: 4:15 am August 28, 2008 Posted: 3:56 am August 28, 2008

DENVER - Democrats will kneel before the "Temple of Obama" tonight.

As if a Rocky Mountain coronation were not lofty enough, Barack Obama will aim for Mount Olympus when he accepts his party's nomination atop an enormous, Greek-columned stage - designed by the same cheesy set team that put together Britney Spears' last tour.

John McCain's campaign mocked the massive neoclassical set created for Obama's speech at 75,000-seat Invesco Field. Some Republicans have dubbed it the "Barackopolis," while others suggested the delegates should wear togas to fit in among the same Doric columns the ancient Greeks believed would stroke the egos of Zeus and Athena.

This is Obama’s “Dukakis Tank Moment”.
This is a political phenomenon when an event intersects with an emerging narrative that cements the public perception. This is it. This is what we’ve been waiting for. And the Obama people likely know it, but its too late for them to turn back now. They are on a collision course with a shark, and Obama is about to jump it.

McCain’s campaign laid out the perception masterfully, and Obama is about to play right into it. I’m going to need popcorn for tomorrow night.

This is the beginning of the end of Obama.

Does Obama know he is running for a job in government and not in the private sector? Oh yeah I forgot these socialist/commies think the government- is to fulfill every fantasy at any cost, even Obama's huge ego needs. Small detail. His constituents will be paying for his ego needs with their paychecks.

It's not a Quarter Pounder, it's an A1 Steakhouse Burger.

"We've done Britney's sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time," said Allen, of RDA Entertainment.
Paris Hilton declined to comment.

"We've done Britney's sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time," said Allen, of RDA Entertainment... Asked who is harder to satisfy - the Democrats or Britney - Allen replied: "I better not answer that."

The Dims probably wouldn't be too happy that the contractor basically compares Britney and Obama.

What are the chances of there being live animals sacrificed during the coronation?

This election will give us an exact counting on the number of idiots who walk amongst us, where they live, in what percentages and allow us to draw a new map based on places where morons thrive.

Yes, it would be a nice tribute to Moloch, who was asked to remain backstage during the convention.

LOL...

All they need are some animal sacrifices from some of the sheep in the audience.
