When Obama, a man who speaks only one language fairly well, lectured the American public regarding the wonderful quality of knowing a second language, my hackles rose. Most American parents probably had a similar reaction. It wasn't the message, it was the way it was presented.
While we, as parents, recognize the advantages of speaking a second language, we bristle visibly when a politician attempts to counsel us on how to raise our children. Particularly a neophyte whose own children are barely school age. And this is only one example of the Obama modus operandi.
You know, there’s an old saying on Madison Avenue:
“Nothing kills a bad product faster than good advertising!”
