Hey, I read that in an article by a geneticist discussing races and where they originated.
So, what do you disagree with in that statement?
Yes, I saw that after I hit post. Had originally had it as the plural but changed it and forgot to delete the E :-)
Because it is not "politically correct" to use the term Negro nowadays :-)
Well, the Amerinds for one certainly didn’t originate in Africa.
Oh, I can understand your reluctance so I’ll make it short. Caucasians originated in North Africa. Semites are considered caucasian as are the peoples of India and Europe. Skin color really plays a minor part in determining caucasian as a race. It is DNA that counts.
American Indians are considered an offshoot of the asian race. I know many do like that, but DNA demonstrates that is true.
That was on the tip of my tongue and am glad to know someone else thought it, too.
No, Amerinds are considered an off-shoot of the asian race.
DNA, and genetics research created from the discovery of the human genome, has fitted well with what linguistics has been puzzling out for decades. Many American Indians (North and South) have asian DNA associated with people from around Lake Aral in Siberia. Linguistics indicates a linguistic heritage from that area, too.
But the picture for the Western Hemisphere is more complicated than originally thought. The people found in Tierra del Fuego, at the tip of South America, had DNA linking them to Australia’s aborigines.
Sorry, I got to ask this. How much did it cost to make that one up.
Obama is the chairman of the Annenberg project in Chicago; factcheck.org is another Annenberg group; Obama goes to Hawaii and then comes up with a birth certificate stamped 2007; Hmmm...
Great pic of Da Mare!
He was not born on the base, though.
What's more interesting is that Claire McCaskill (D-MO) recently introduced a Sense of the Senate resolution recognizing McCain's proper citizenship, doing so at the request of her good friend and distinguished colleague, the junior senator from Illinois.
What's most interesting is that Obama had McCaskill place language in the resolution acknowledging the "natural-born citizen" status of the offspring of single female U.S. citizens living abroad at the time of the birth -- a circumstance that hardly applies to McCain. Gee, I wonder why.
Funny... I checked the internal timestamp on the files. The first one (with what appears to be the shadow of an arm across the document, where the stamp would be) is
March 12, 2008, at 10:41 pm.
Odd.
Seal, that is.
This was Hawaii. Once again folks have posted evidence that anything and everything was put down in Hawaii. You were aware, right, that white folks are NOT IN THE MAJORITY in Hawaii. They do not share the same ignorance as white folks. They indulge themselves in a different sort of ignorance with different shibboliths and totems.
South American Amerinds do not have "Factor X".
One was located along the French/Spanish boundary area where today's oldest population are the Basques. They do not speak an Indo-European language. The other two are further East along the Mediterranean's North shore.
The Indo-European languages arose quite recently in human history, long after the ice melted and oceans rose.
Before that these populations lived in Central Asia where they divided into the West Asian and East Asian populations.
