"New Mexico and Sedona"
POSTED BY MEGHAN AND PHOTOS BY HEATHER

Earlier this week, we traveled to Las Cruces, New Mexico where Dad held a very lively town hall on the campus of New Mexico State University.  From there we flew to Sedona where everyone was able to chill out a bit and Dad grilled dinner for everyone.  More from Sedona soon!

My daughter and son-in-law (SIL deploying to Iraq now) spent 5 days in NM and were surprised when John McCain checked in to their hotel Tuesday. These are pics my daughter got. Unfortunately they didn't meet him, tried to by arranging it with a secret service agent, but the agent forgot to call them and McCain had left that night for dinner. My daughter snapped lobby pics with her cell phone Wednesday morning from 'behind a post', where the secret service told her to go because McCain was coming through the lobby..but it was after she had already taken her hubby back to his base. My son-in-law really wanted to meet him, would've been nice right before deploying..

The McCain List.

Some pictoral moments: on the scene, behind the scenes, and light.

Thanks to Maelstorm for posting the pictures.

That looks like Las Cruces.

I lived for a number of years in El Paso.

Lots of cattle and pecan groves all through that area.

I wish your kids well,

There is or was an excellent hole in the wall Mexican joint in a little town off the main highway between Las Cruces and El Paso.

I always took my family there to eat.

I remember one time stopping to eat and a big bus with signs Kerry for President was parked out side.

Because we were a party of four and the waitress knew us she found a table amongst the political shaft, brown nosers and hanger ons.

Sort of like the crap hanging around the cowardly Obama.

We only stayed about 10 minutes as the Kerry crowd was most profane.

Everything on the God D.mn plate seemed to be a Muther f..ker this or Shiite thats hot f-ing peppers these people eat.

I finally got up and unappealingly asked the twerps if they wouldn't have some semblance of courtesy for my two small children.

Instead of quietening down these guys got louder so we left.

Doc told me as we headed to the car that she would be dead and buried before ever voting for a Democrat.

I told her that just as soon as her obituary was published the Democrats would get a new reregistration card so she could vote Democrat from the grave from now own.

Quite a few months ago, I spent hours reading Meghan’s blog and it really was a sweet read. At the time, I was upset that Sen. McCain was our nominee and reading her blog made me feel a little bit better about Sen. McCain. When barak became the nominee, it made me feel a WHOLE lot better about Sen. McCain!

Then, getting to know Michelle Obama, I compared her with Mrs. McCain and thought Sen. McCain’s wife and family are by far more presidential and I would be proud for them to be the First Family.

Thanks for posting the pictures. No, I don’t see the McCain/Pawlenty bumpersticker. I do see they use the same marinade we do, Soy Vay. :)
