On Druge, but no link yet.
“MCCAIN OFFICE IN DENVER RECEIVES ENVELOPE WITH WHITE POWDER AND DEATH THREAT... DEVELOPING...”
I wonder how long it will take for the kooks to accuse the McCain campaign of fabricating this incedent to interrupt the news cycle from McCain’s “homes” issue

And people say that Obama would be assassinated, I’d bet on a loony Obama follower going after McCain that is disgruntled by him losing.

Will the Drive Byes treat this as Democrat or Liberal hate like they would accuse Conservatives and Republicans if Obama’s office was targeted? Somehow I doubt it even makes a bleep on the evening news.

Think about this... Why does the SS cover candidates so closely? Certainly to protect them, they do honorable service in that regard.
But, keeping things reasonably polite is an un-intended consequence of folks checking before you flush.
It's not from either campaign.
This comes from the outside, and is reprehensible.
The real race for the gold goes on.
I would rather have Boma as president than see the race thrown or pwnd, but I don't think that will happen.

I doubt the “homes” issue is important enough for this trick, but I wouldn’t rule out such stupid strategy on either side.

DENVER (Reuters) - The Denver campaign headquarters of presidential candidate John McCain was evacuated on Thursday after the office received an envelope containing a threatening letter and an unidentified white powder, a campaign spokesman said.
The letter arrived in the mail in the afternoon, and the campaign immediately notified local and federal law enforcement authorities, said Jeff Sadosky, a spokesman for the campaign in suburban Washington, D.C.
Sadosky added, “We are taking all necessary precautions,” which he said included an evacuation of the Denver office, where dozens of people work.

OK, let me rephrase that:
What kind of *dangerous* powders, that can remain viable in mailed envelopes, survive Post Office irradiation (do they still do that?), and that are also white, are there?
What are they concerned that this may be? Heroin or cocaine, for example, isn't something to be worried about. Cyanide, yes.

Well, the positive way of looking at this is that now the media will be throwing soft-balls in the McCain camp instead of the hard balls they normally would be throwing right about now.

What could a 'suspicious white powder' be? Both Potassium Cyanide and Sodium Cyanide are white. They could be powdery, depending on how they were produced.
But then several recreational drugs are also white powders.

But why send recreational drugs to a campaign office?
IMO, this is one of two things:
Something actually dangerous or
something completely inert and harmless, meant merely to frighten.
To: Joiseydude
Maybe this is what McCain “is up against”. If so, whoever said that was right - McCain didn’t know.

Let’s see if I’ve got this right:
1) Obama earlier this week struts around claiming, ...”He (McCain) doesn’t know who he is dealing with...”
2) Hitlery’s campaign has maintained all year that Obama’s camp used “...threats and intimidation tactics”.....
So my question is why isn’t the FBI all over Obami’s campaign like a duck on a junebug?
To: conservativegramma
Bill Clinton said in an interview. We didn’t know what we were dealing with.I thought that was strange.

Actually, it's more likely, a bigger enemy of McCain, and a big enemy of the U.S.
Who's been assassinating his enemies abroad?
PUTIN!
Especially after what McCain said about Russia and Putin after Russia invaded Georgia.
