Mine kills three Polish soldiers in Afghanistan

Warsaw. An exploding mine killed three Polish soldiers in Afghanistan Wednesday, seriously injuring a fourth member of their patrol, the Polish army told PAP news agency. The blast happened about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from their Ghazni base in central Afghanistan, Major Jacek Poplawski told the agency.

The wounded soldier, part of a 1,200-strong Polish contingent attached to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), was transported by helicopter to another base at Bagram, he added.

Polish troop numbers in Afghanistan are due to rise by another 400 over coming months.

The fallen soldiers (engineers from the 2nd Mazovian Engineers Brigade):

It sounds like the 9th Century knuckledraggers are gaining the upper hand in Afghanistan.Too many fine men like these three Polish soldiers are being killed.It's time for NATO to get serious about Afghanistan again like we did a few years ago so this type of thing will stop.

My prayers go out to these brave,unselfish men and their families.

The thing is, that the Polish contingent in Afghanistan don't have enough of these (the talibans call this machine "green devil"):


And they go on patrols using Hummvies, which are not a big deal for an IED.

The US should move all troops out of Germany and move them to Poland ASAP{ if the Poles allow us, of course}
Poland has always been a strong friend of the USA.
