It's not exactly a new phenomenon that when a republican wins the presidency, or slams his democratic opponent in debate, the left-wing fundamentalists will go into full denial mode.

What is changed is that now they have the MSM (which is more than happy to air their rantings) and the blogosphere in which to spew.

John McCain is a jerk. Alternately a bully and a whiner, and a bald-faced liar to perhaps a greater degree than even George Bush and Dick Cheney, McCain is running a stupid and mephitic campaign that insults even Americans of average intelligence virtually every day...

when you are taking flak...you know you're on target

hahahaha this is too funny. They don’t like a McCain they think can win. A McCain that will fight them. Oh My. McCain will not be getting any invites from Democrats this year. lol
I love it. These people told lies about who McCain was because he sided with them publicly a few times now they are upset? They created the McCain monster one who is going to eat their lunch.

John McCain is a liar and flip-flopper and panderer and bully and whiner.

Obama is twice or three times the liar, flip-flopper, panderer, bully, whiner and jerk that McCain is. So. . .what's the author's point?

Oh, he's just having an emotional melt down. Got it.

Why would an ignorant cretin from England want Obama?

Obama will throw England under the bus first.

Does being a Jerk Work?

Most of the time, NO; but being grounded in conviction and articulate usually does. ;-)

John McCain is a jerk.

In private conversation, I'd bet that John Cornyn and other Pubbie Senators would agree with that assessment.

But I've resigned myself to the fact that McCain is the only viable alternative to an Obama presidency.

I just hope that McCain doesn't pick Loserman or Ridge for his VP.

Many moons ago - after witnessing a decent, bright young man beaten to a pulp and too gentlemanly to shove back - I begged that we would find a “hairy, mean old bustard to lead the GOP into battle against the DEMS”

I think my prayers have been answered - just didn’t believe it would be McCain.

I think perhaps I love him after all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So John McCain is a liar and flip-flopper, while the Obamessiah...The left has succeeded in trampling on our rights and freedom, in fashioning laws which could only make sense in a Picasso sketch and in the destruction of an entire race for the purpose of cementing its power by securing votes. Given the standard prevailing lunacy of its representatives—as evidenced in this silly article— only a lazy, careless and brain-dead populace could have allowed itself to be so ill used. We should be ashamed of permitting these thugs to be in charge of our nation.

McCain missed one great opportunity when they asked him what the moral failing of America is and that was to say... Abortions.

But he did do well in recognizing his own failings...his first marriage.

Nevertheless, it was a good showing with McCain coming out on top of Obama. However, Obama is learning quickly and McCain's campaign will have to work on prepping McCain better with regard to questions to ask Obama that he isn't ready for. Obama can't think...on or off his feet, but he can be fed his lines from his handlers and he will respond by putting them back out there most of the time with regularity. What McCain needs to do is to get him into a situation where Obama starts to run into himself as he did with Hillary on their final debate.

By the time he gets out from under the Clinton's in Denver next week he'll need another vacation. The problem that McCain has is money, and the solution is Mitt Romney. Not only can Romney raise money, but he can spend as much of his sizable fortune as he wants to under the campaign finance laws to get himself and McCain elected. Let's hope that McCain makes the right choice and takes Mitt. If he takes Lieberman he takes a national Democrat loser and splits the party apart. If he takes Tom Ridge he looses the abortion issue, the evangelicals, and most importantly he will be putting the mantle of the Bush/Cheney administration squarely upon himself. Because Ridge was Bush's first Homeland Security Director he brings the war and the years he served Bush with him, he can't escape that and neither will McCain be able to. The leftist will be able to convincingly say that it is four more years of Bush.
