Robert Gates: All actions are on the table, including Russia being kicked out of the G8. Other opportunities in trade that Russia needs as well. US will be reevaluating Russia because of what’s happened in Georgia.
Hard to believe leftists like Stephy continue to compare Iraq and Afghanistan to Georgia and Russia.
Dashle: Obama would engage Russia more than Bush has done. Obama would have had an action plan in place. (Yeah, right)
Romney: Russians have been looking for an excuse. (Stephy doesn’t understand that apparently.) McCain did not have to search around to figure out what to say – reference to Obama and Dashle’s comment. Romney supports former USSR states being part of NATO.
Dashle: We need more diplomacy and work ‘with’ Russia more on things like Korea and climate change, etc.
Romney: Olympic committee should reconsider Olympics in Russia.
Daschle: We should not saber rattle without action. Obama would bring balance in considering options.
Stephy: the politics of it?
Daschle: It’s always been a question of experience versus judgment. Obama wants someone with good judgment. Obama has American confidence because of the judgment he’s shown form the beginning.
I agree, Romney is making a fool out of both Dashle and Obama. I’m still laughing over Obama and judgment.
imagine the Dinosaur Media conspiracy theory talk when Obama gets landslided and takes other democrats with him.
Several folks thought that Collinsworth stepped over the line by asking that question, and I was one of them, and posted so on other boards that I participate in. Many responded the same way you did, and thought Collinsworth was just being provacative without being demeaning. I didn’t take it that way, and after rewatching the video, I still don’t. I thought the question was horrible and had no place in the interview and I blame it on the overall leftyism of NBC.
Perhaps Collinsworth will respond at some point as to why he asked that question and the way in which he asked it.
I don’t know much about COllinsworth, but I did think the question was inappropriate and good for Kobe for his response.

This is UNBELIEVABLE- Ambassador Richard Holbrook is in Georgia and is saying Russia DELIBERATELY provoked Georgia- he’s said it in half a dozen ways- saying he’s seen the signs of ethnic cleansing- you’d thinkg it was Condi speaking to listen to him. He’s furious with Putin.

LOL. Romney is not my favorite for the VEEP slot, actually, I don’t have one at the moment. I think the announcement will be a surprise to all of us and the individual to be named is not someone the media has even mentioned, or mentioned rarely. Just a gut feeling on my part.
