I have told the story here many times - my maternal grandparents immigrated from Russia in 1911. My granddad hated Russians with a passion as he had seen first hand what they could and would do to those who stood in their way, even their own “countrymen.”
I have seen their work over the years as you have and they are no ones friends........as you state, not even their own families are safe. Rabid Anarchy is my definition of all things Russian.
The BBC had a report earlier today showing Russian troops scuttling the Georgian Navy in Poti. They are tearing up the railroad that connects the country east-to-west. And they are parading captured civilians, mostly old men, through the streets of South Ossetia before forcing them to work cleaning the streets, which tapdances around, but does not quite violate, the Geneva Conventions.
