maybe you can’t find his birth certificate because it’s in Nederland!

Maybe, when did the Nederlands give up Indonesia?

Maybe, when did the Nederlands give up Indonesia?

The day I was born. November 2

1949.

The Indonesians declared their Independence when the Japanese, who controlled the Islands at the time, surreneded. The Dutch, with British and Austrialian (Including British Indian forces) tried to put recover the Dutch East Indies, but were pretty much unsuccessful.

The founders of modern Indonesia had collaborated with the Japanese, in an attempt to win independence. They wouldn't have gotten it from the Japenese, if the allies hadn't kicked the Japanese back to their ancestors.
