I had never seen horseface-er Kaine - until last night.

I heard him say he inherited Virginia budgets that were a disaster and he is fixing things so wonderfully - you mean he is an ugly, lying, thieving, spending, taxing Democrat?

surprised me - not

Warner = Horse Face
Kaine = The People’s Eyebrow

Warner’s story about the financial disaster he inherited is a fairy tale. Despite years of leftist and MSM spin, Gilmore left the state on sound financial footing. Unfortunately in the last year of his term we have the collapse of the dot com bubble and the 9/11 attacks.

Combine that with a problem that Gilmore contributed to, but did not cause. Revenue projections where higher than they should have been and the General Assembly increased the budget by too great an amount.

What Warner did was cut from that budget. What they’re not telling you is that the budget still increased (by about 6% IIRC) and that there was never, ever a “deficit.”

Warner continued to spread that lie however, and pushed through the largest tax increase in Virginia history. Two weeks after he signed that legislation, the revised revenue forecasts came out for that year and, lo and behold, we had a budget surplus ~in the exact amount~ of the tax increase.

Since Warner came into office in 2002, the Virginia state budget has doubled. And now, thanks to Warner and Kaine, with the help of a few no-longer-in-the-Senate RINOs, we’re facing a $1 billion “shortfall” due to Kaine’s former finance secretary (now running for lt. governor) and her inaccurate revenue forecasts.

OH yes you’re right - it was WARNER not KANE speaking last night.....both of them lying taxers.

thanks for the added info.

The DEMS ALWAYS raise taxes and ALWAYS have budget deficits - so they can justify raising taxes again....and the little people, the regular people, the hardworking taxpaying people ALWAYS come out on the short end.

At least you in VA have had some interims of Repub leadership in the Governor’s office - for 20 long years we have had nothing but Dems and it is destroying a once beautiful North Carolina because of their tax and spend habits that are driving businesses and jobs out of our state.
