Not to worry. Charles Evers is basically untouchable. What’s more, the overwhelming majority of black people in Jackson are — by and large — just as fed up with crime as are the ‘Pubbie white folks who live east of I-55/north of Fortification Street. No way that the new DA (a black man, by the way) would seek an indictment here, nor is there any chance a jury would convict the employees.

Even if you clear the criminal charges, a civil judgment can ruin your life.

You don't seem to know anything about the situation on the ground in Jackson, where this incident occurred. No jury there — civil or criminal — is going to put Charles Evers or his station's employees in jeopardy.
