Getting Angelina Jolie to sign onto a film often makes it a guaranteed winner, but can she do the same for presidential politics?
The lush-lipped actress, who, even during this election year, receives about as much press as John McCain and Barack Obama, is currently being courted by both candidates.
But the politically minded actress has yet to endorse either. In a statement given to the entertainment trade magazine Variety, the new mom says, I have not decided on a candidate.
Jolie says she is looking at both Obamas and McCains international policies.
I am waiting to see the commitments they will make on issues like international justice, refugees and how to address the needs of children in crisis around the world, explains the United Nations goodwill ambassador.
In February, after a trip to Iraq, Jolie seemed to have sided with McCain when she wrote in a Washington Post editorial that her visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis
What we cannot afford, in my view, is to squander the progress that has been made.

Gosh, I can’t wait to see who she supports. I’m like totally excited to find out.
I appreciated what she had to say about the U.S. when visiting Iraq.
Other than that, I could care less who she is voting for.
Cest le politic’, one supposes.
Hopefully she doesn’t become the object of the new Flip Flop meter!
I think it’s less about a movie star and more about a United Nations Ambassador’s opinion.
(Egon walks away muttering to himself)
I was surprised when I read this. Her endorsement might not score a lot of points for McCain on FR, but it could help some in California.
My first thought....if she too were running for Pres as a Dem for “change”, I wonder if they’d elect her.
Unless she happens to be smart...
what’s the matter with you? Americans are waiting with baited breath for Angelina to nod for one or the other..........OK, I can NOT say that with a straight face. ;^) LMAO!!!
“of course she’ll cast her lot in with him.”
You never know. Nothing this year has happened as I had expected it to.
We all know who her dad is voting for.
Who cares, I don’t have any idea who she is.
Of course those kind of people don’t impress me aqnyway.
I think the last time I went to a movie was in 1955.
Voight went on to say that McCain's wife has been working with poor children since 1988 and from what I understood they adopted one of the children that Mother Theresa asked her to take to America to get medical help..
McCain is really hunting out the endorsements, as this article seems to indicate.
"Let's not be too rough on our own ignorance, it's what makes America great."
That’s right. John McCain was Angelina Jolie even before Madonna was.
Am I supposed to believe that a candidate McCain that seeks out approval from Hollywood isn’t going to also be a president McCain that seeks approval from the Beltway MSM?
