I have never cared about any Olympic event. The games aren’t interesting to me.

I’ll stick with the NFL and the MLB.

I watch all the Olympics I can. I love track and field and most of the other events. I am not interested in NBA and watch limited NFL and MLB.

I prefer college sports to the overpaid pros.

I enjoy the Olympics--some events more than others. I watch swimming and track events more than basketball--don't like the pros playing.

I prefer winter to summer Olympics.

I'd rather Bush be in China for the Olympics than selling our secrets to them for campaign contributions like the Clintons!

If I remember correctly, the Clintons went to China with 1500 of their closest friends before he left office and it cost us $70 million.

Then just don't watch. Sure the Chicoms screwed up the playing of our national anthem, but to me it showed how phony the governments’ ability to be ready for prime time really is. We already know about their treatment of the masses, how they diverted water from the north to ‘’green’’ Beijing and how the air is not polluted with lead and God knows what, but just normal fog like off the coast of Santa Barbara............Beijing is all Hollywood all the time till the games are over and then its’ back to business as usual. Gear up the polluting factories( Walmart has a Christmas deadline to meet). The games (IMHO) are for the athletes who have dedicated their life for these few events. To compete not only with their competitors, but with themselves. Stop looking at the politics and the commercialization. Ignore Lauer and his entourage of ego maniacs. Enjoy the games if you choose, watch Oprah if you are inclined to. The world really isn't all about you or me.
