Isabel Garcia The actions of Pima County Legal Defender Isabel Garcia at a protest last month against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio are "under review" after top county officials were flooded with complaints.

Garcia, who is active with the immigrant rights group Derechos Humanos, participated in a protest at a signing event at a Barnes & Noble bookstore promoting a book by Arpaio, who has a national reputation for anti-illegal-immigrant raids and tough jail conditions.

Videos posted on YouTube show Garcia picking up the head of a piñata representing Arpaio after several teenagers smashed it, and carrying around the head.

Arizona and Border Issue watchers are well aware of this case. Liberal news media has been ignoring it up to now, but this story and some TV news yesterday blew it wide open in Tucson.

The story is not too slanted, they do "forget" to mention that this newspaper has called for the boycott of the Radio Talk Show that filmed the effigy beating. (They like to call it a piñata to make it seem like it's just kids playing around, but hey, it's an effigy.)

Here are links to the youtube videos of the effigy beating at the protest:

The story, published yesterday, got over 500 comments, which is quite a bit for this paper. But don't think just because they reported it the newspaper things Garcia should be fired.

This morning they published an editorial supporting Isabel Garcia called Garcia, her foes have same rights to speak freely which is a marvel of left-wing propaganda and lies.

They claim it's a free speech issue but nobody is saying Isabel Garcia doesn't have free speech to be in a group that beats up an effigy of a law enforcement officer and then to carry the effigy head around while laughing. She can do that.

People in Tucson are simply writing Pima County Chuck Huckleberry at chh@pima.gov and requesting she be fired for violating basic rules of County Employment and violation of State Legal Bar rules for respecting law enforcement. Remember, she is a Public Defender for Pima County! She is also the head of a radical illegal immigration support group called Coalición de Derechos Humanos.

The radio station host mentioned is Jon Justice of 104.1 FM and is streamed / broadcast / podcast from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhnn15pCXto. Those radio shows are fun to listen to.

There’s now law against picking up a smashed pinata head and parading it about. This’ll all come down to nothing.

Nobody is saying it's against the law, but thanks for making that point, I guess.

Did you not read this article or any of the preceding ones in regards to this Civil Servant?

yes, I read it. Individually, these acts are small, stuipid things. Combined they show her to be a moonbat, but her bosses aren’t likely to take any real steps. Just the way it is.

Also remember that "Public Defender" is usually an elected office and, at least in California, subject to recall...

A word to the wise.

In Pima County, Public Defenders and Prosecutors are hired or fired by the County Administrator, who is Chuck Huckleberry. Huckleberry is hired or fired by the Board of Supervisors, who are elected. I'm back on good terms with my Supervisor and told him in a radio program recently I was restoring my vote to him for his good work on a local issue. I had previously and publically proclaimed I would NOT vote for him (on a radio program) when he endorsed a hard left moonbat for a nearby local suburb city council. I still don't know why he did that. He's a normal person otherwise. I wrote him about this, too.

Pima County is also famous for having the strictest hot dog cart rules in the country. One national hot dog cart company makes a custom version called "Pima County" that complies with all our many rules we have on that subject.
